Snow Days....Smow Days! I AM BACK 6/12

Looks like you had a nice Easter even though the rain cancelled your hunt. That table looks lovely, we usually do a brunch but opted for a different tradition this year.

HAPPY EASTER!

Don't let Jay tell Seth that he got the frog. :lmao: Seth has been looking for the frog, and we've had no luck.

I'm glad they enjoyed the Pillow Pets!. I think this was the first year my kids didn't get a fluffy or some sort. The Easter Bunny forgot. :headache:

The flowers were beautiful and it looks like you had a wonderful brunch!

Sorry to hear of the rain. Just think Disney thoughts ... it will be here before you know it!

WM has soooo many frog there it is unbelievable. Jay asked yesterday when we were there, if the Easter Bunny shopped at WM? :lmao: Let me know if you would like for me to send you one for Seth. :thumbsup2

Aww looks like they had a great Easter, despite the rain.

Yes, we did have a great Easter. It looks you did, too, from your wonderful pics!!! :goodvibes

Yes, it was a nice Easter. The kids were a little disappointed about the rain out, but The Easter Bunny hid eggs in the house for them to find on Easter morning. :yay:

Went shopping yesterday and bought new shoes for myself and the kiddos.

I  shoes!!! I didn't get anything too fancy. I was just looking for some athletic shoes with great support because of our marathon walking at Disney. The last pair I had gotten for our trip must not have had enough support because by the end of the day after wearing them my heels were killing me. I wore these all day yesterday and I woke up to pain free feet so I am hoping that this is the right pair. I am starting PT soon, too.

My new Asics Gel Frantic 5 sneakers. Look how the heel is built up on these puppies!!! Not crazy about the look, but they were the most comfortable and had very good heel support. I think they look a little young for me, though. The real test will be when I go for my long walk with dogs. I don't know when I will be able to do it, though, it has been monsoon weather here and been rain straight for a week. Hubs asked me how long until I need another new pair. :sad2:

Kay's shoes - I :lovestruc these shoes. I wish they had them in my size!

IMG_1927.jpg

Jay's shoes - I tried to talk him into some really cute ones with laces, but he would not have any part of it. He wanted the velcro ones.

Grats on the 30's!!!!! :cheer2:

DS won't wear lace shoes. He has to have velcro as well. Must be a 5 yr old thing. :lmao:

I saw all of those tops at WM. The "Cutie Minnie" one didn't have any in DD's size. :sad1: I don't recall why I didn't get the Daisy one, I thought I did. Maybe it wasn't in her size either. :confused3 However, she does have the Minnie (with hearts) shirt waiting to be worn!

Loved all the shoes! Yours look really comfy! May have to go find me a pair! :cool1:

Yea, I get my shoe fix and I don't even have to spend any money.:rotfl2:
Loven the shoes, great buys. The shirts are great too.:thumbsup2

Your easter baskets look great. My kids got pillow pets for Christmas and absolutly love them. Liam got a dog one and named him Maxie.:lovestruc. Aidan got a monkey and Mia got a unicorn (also got a ladybug for grammy's house.) I tottally forgot to take pics of my kids easter baskets before they tore into them. Bad mommy:sad2:

I can't believe that we are in the 30's and in just a couple of days we will be offically in the 20's.:cheer2::yay::woohoo:

Love the shirts!! They are so cute!!!

We have had monsoons too....and more than enough tornados---and way too close!! I am ready for some pretty weather!! It seems once you hit the 30s time really flies by!! :goodvibes

Looove your new sneakers. I hope that they are just what you need to keep the heel pain away with all the walking.
It's been tough to get out walking here as well with all the rain we've had. Supposed to rain for the rest of the week, but hopefully once it clears up we'll have some sun!!

Love the Easter pictures! The pillow pets are too cute.

You picked out some great shoes and shirts. Hope the shoes work out for you :thumbsup2

We've gotten our fair share of thunderstorms in the past two weeks, as well. :sad2:

:cheer2:Cheers for being in the 20s now!:cheer2:

We have so much in common is getting kind of scary. :scared1:

When you get the shoes, I want pics!!! :lmao:

Thanks TinksThree!
It has been such a crazy Spring. Tonight they are forecasting a frost warning and I had to go out and cover my new little dahlias that just sprouted. It shouldn't be getting this cold in May. I best enjoy it now, though, when I am sweating it out in Florida....but I CANNOT WAIT! 26 days today!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

I sure hope it does the trick for the heel pain....so far, so good! I have been doing some stretches, too, I am trying anything I can to keep the pain away. I am training for my marathon walking in Disney! :goodvibes
I am just getting over a horrible chest cold, but am really wanting to get out and start walking again soon. :thumbsup2

Thanks Britt! I hope these shoes do the trick! I cannot hardly wait to get to Disney only 26 days! Whooohooo! :woohoo:

Thursday, June 2nd, will be spent in Epcot again (this will be our second to the last day). I am sure we will do the things that we weren’t able to accomplish on our first visit to Epcot earlier in the week. This day we have ressies for San Angel Inn in the Mexico Pavillion. I am very excited about this reservation. The atmosphere looks very beautiful in this restaurant. When we were there in ‘09, we wandered around in the gift shop, did the Three Caballeros ride and looked at all the beautifully handmade sculptures. We did get a look at the restaurant, but didn’t actually eat there. I told Mike when we go to Epcot on our next trip that I would love to eat there …..so I got my wish. Here is a pic that I pulled from the web. Look how beautiful it looks!

san-angel-inn.jpg

We also love The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros.

Mexico2046.jpg

Donald Duck is hubby's favorite Disney character, too.

Here is the dinner menu for this restaurant:

Entrees

Mole poblano
-grilled chicken breast, served over a bed of poblano rice, with a classic mole sauce made of spices, and a hint of chocolate, sprinkled with mixed nuts

Sirloin con chile relleno
-grilled beef sirloin with chile ancho sauce served with a bean and cheese stuffed pepper, poblano rice and fried plantains

Mahi-mahi veracruzana
-grilled filet of mahi-mahi served over poblano rice, prepared with capers, olives, bell peppers, spanish onions and tomatoes, seasoned with white wine, and spices

Pollo a las rajas
-grilled chicken breast on a bed of poblano rice, served with a cream sauce of red peppers, onions strips, and queso fresco

Tacos de ribeye
-grilled ribeye served over flour tortillas topped with a red bell pepper sauce garnished with scallions and avocado

Camarones al guajillo
-crispy shrimp with guajillo sauce, served over a bed of potato relish

I am not sure what we will get but I think the Sirloin con Chili Relleno might be a good selection for me…..YUM! I am instantly hungry. :rotfl:
All Jay cares about is if they have chicken nuggets with ranch dressing to dip them in. That kid needs to break out of his comfort zone and try some new things. :lmao:

I would like to spend a lot of this day looking around the WS. DD wants to do the Kim Possible Missions, but DH doesn’t think we will have enough time and we think DS might still be too young to full understand what they need to do.

I am really looking forward to spending some more time in Epcot! :cloud9:

A few more Epcot pics from our past trips.

Up next.....our very last day in the World. :sad1: Ending where we started..... MK.

Hubby took the kiddos out over the weekend to do a little Mother's Day shopping. When they came back they were excited to show me these new tumblers that they purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

IMG_1932.jpg

IMG_1934.jpg

They are super cute and are supposed to keep your drinks either hot or cold, but they were very pricey....about $20 bucks for the big ones, $16 for the medium ones and $12 for the small. Did we really need one of all sizes???:confused3 We went back the next day and got lids and straws for them and I am trying currently to figure out a way to incorporate them on our trip .
Cannot wait to give them a try! :thumbsup2

LOVE those glasses!!!:thumbsup2
We are ending this upcoming trip where we start it as well (and we did the same back in '09), only our park is Epcot as MK just didn't work with our plan to be there for dd's birthday, as we didn't want to go two days in a row to the same park. We did start and end with MK when we went in March 2009 though.

Totally LOVE  the pic of Kay! Ask her if I can borrow those glasses. ;)

And rub it in my face that you have a pic of them and I don't. :p (Fine, I have video ... that you can almost watch ... its not so bad if you bop around while watching it - almost looks normal :lmao::rotfl2:)

I thought that San Angel Inn looked beautiful! Just seeing it made me want to eat there, but I'm not sure how I would have fared with the food. :rotfl:

We're going to attempt Kim Possible this year (I hope). Since (right now) we have two EP days, we may do what we can on the first day, and do KP on the 2nd. I think DS5 will be fine with it, so I think Jay will be too. :thumbsup2 The way I see it, it gives us a chance to explore a country a little deeper. So yeah, it may take 30-45 mins (or however long it takes), but it will also teach us about that country while we have some entertainment. I thought it sounded dumb the past two years, but actually did research this year and it's on my MUST DO list.

I love those tumblers! In the pictures, it looks like it has embroidery on them. Do they?

And yes, you need all three sizes. One for thirsty. One for real thirsty. And one for extra thirsty! :thumbsup2 Those are really neat!

Would love to hear how you fare with them on your trip!!!

Just found your PTR through the May boards (I think ) It's been a great read so far! Can't wait to get all caught up! :thumbsup2 You guys must be getting excited!!!

They are disney patches in between the plastic, BB&B had several different designs including sports.:thumbsup2

I saw those tumblers at bed, bath, and beyond also. I was thinking of getting them but couldn't see past the price tag for a cup. You will have to let me know how they work, maybe it will change my mind.:confused3
I bought a cars cup for Liam at the DO a couple of weeks ago when they were on sale for $5. Now I am to trying to figure if it will be worth it to bring on our trips. I guess it depends if there is room in Liam's suitcase.:goodvibe

I can send you a pic of TBI and you can print it out poster size for your room if you want to.....:rotfl2:

WHAT??!!!??? You don't like authentic Mexican food? Who are you??? :lmao:

I think Kim Possible would be kind of neat, but DH doesn't think we will be able to do it. I tell you the man is "The Drill Sargent"....I will just refer to him ast TDS from now.

Yes, it's a embroidered patch inbetween the plastic. It kind of looks like a GS patch that they get for their sashes. Not sure why TDS wanted to get one of all sizes.....WEIRD. :upsidedow We ended up getting straws and lids, well the two gigantic ones have a sippy lid without a straw hole, so not sure how that is going to work?:confused3

I will let you know how it goes. I am think I may have to scrap that plan altogether and just have them for home use. It will be one more thing we have to lug around. :sad2:

Just found your PTR through the May boards (I think ) It's been a great read so far! Can't wait to get all caught up! :thumbsup2 You guys must be getting excited!!!

We did try them and they seemed to keep the drinks cold without any rings on the furniture, which is nice.:thumbsup2 But, I still think they are very expensive. They have a lifetime warranty, so when I am old and gray I will still be drinking out of my Minnie tumbler to get my $$ worth. :rotfl2:

I've always wanted to start our stay with MK, so I'm excited that we get to this year. :cloud9:

I adore her glasses. I would love to show DD, but trying to shelter her from all that is the Mouse. :lmao:

Send the pic over! I'll blow that sucker up and wallpaper the whole room with it! :thumbsup2

I didn't say I didn't like it, because I do. But it doesn't like me. :rotfl2:

Just tell TDS that it's a must do, and that you only have to do one mission. You can stop after that. Point out all its educational values for the kids. He's not a true TDS if he's skipping an attraction. If all else fails, stomp your feet and cry.

The big ones sound confusing. But that is cute that they have "patches" inside them. I have no clue where our nearest BB&B is. I know I've been to one once, as I bought my throw pillows and bedding there, but that was 4 years ago, and I have no clue where it was at. :confused3 (I think there's probably one in Knoxville, but I don't recall where - and that place is sooo big. :sad2:)

Are you guys going to get the refillable mugs? And I don't blame you for not wanting extra things to tote around. Make it simple. But you might want them for the beach? I dunno. :)

I can picture us all now in the nursing home, sitting in rocking chairs and you drinking from your Minnie tumbler - Corrine quizzing us on all things WDW - and me being jealous and clueless. :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

We will probably driving all the grandkids crazy with our stories. "When I was a kid fantasyland was only half the size and we had to wait in line for a hour to ride dumbo.":lmao:

But if us three old ladies can push our walkers around Disney (or run people over with our ECV's) I am in. Any one up for Splash Mountain? How about Towere of Terror?:rotfl2:

I'll totally pass on ToT, but I'm game for grabbing some EVC's, making the grandkids eat dust if they can't keep up, hitting up Splash, and doing the TSM FP dash!:banana::banana: :thumbsup2

And yes, it will be awesome having to say "MK didn't have all these extra areas" and "the wait for Dumbo was 90+ min long every day, all day". :lmao::rotfl2:
