Ice storm.
BIG BIG BIG.
Ice storm.
Started the morning of Sunday the 9th.
Our whole town didn't have electric for 3 days.
Our area just got ours back an hour or two ago.
It was bad. No school of course this week.
And there have been rumors that we might not have it until January but nobody knows if we have to go tomorrow. One of our schools is still a shelter.

We've got some sort of system coming up from the States today...
But it's so confusing. We've got snow & wind warnings for tonight, with freezing rain, so yeah that's supposed to be bad.
BUT THE SAME CHANNEL, it saying we're only going to get 1-3 cm.
Like what the hell?
What are we getting?
It's also supposed to be warm tomorrow.
I'm going to be so pissed if I have to go to school.

So we were going to have a big big big nor'easter right? Saying a few inches of snow. All we get is rain!


1-3 cm, thats like a trace! Hopefully you guys get like no school on Thurs & Fri and get an extra 2 days of winter vaca!

Well.
We got today off.
For no real reason. The roads were plowed SEVERAL times, the wind was the only thing that really kept us home.
So no school =)
Time to do all my homework.

My school hardly ever has snow days, and it's pretty notorious for it. It's a charter school and it doesn't have any bus systems, so unless it snows like freaking crazy (does that alot in Michigan) or there's a supermassive ice storm, we don't have them. Heck, at the introduction for the parents of new students (at the beginning of the year), when someone asked about snow days the instructor said, "Snow days? Hah! What snow days?"

My old school did have them, though. It was pretty great, since I hated that school.
