Snow day, and very bored..

I am SO bored! Today we received a pleasant surprise from the clouds: 5 plus inches of snow!!!!!

So our school is closed, and I got up early this morning and have not gone back to sleep. It seems like FOREVER for VMK to open! Nothing much to do at home (besides shovel yeah right!!)

I am really anxious to get into VMK!!! I want my doors! LOL!

(don't think that my life is dedicated to VMK, and that since VMK is closed there's nothing to do. It's not that. I am just excited to get my doors! LOL)

Anybody else have a pleasant, not-much-expected snowday?

I have a snow day today too. I am very happy because today was like my death day for Mid terms. I had Geometry and Biology and I was like oh no!!! SO now I have more time to study. YAY

We would have had our last day of finals today, but not anymore!! YAY!

But this means that our "winter carnival" will be delayed another day!

winter carvinal is a week where we do different fun things, such as hat day, pj day, clash day, so on... then we have a day where we do relay activities and on sat. we have a semi-formal dance. So now we have to get rid of one of the following: hat day, pj day, or clash day. (personally i could do without clash day.lol)

I would get rid of hat day. Clash day sounds fun!! But have a fun week. I wish that our high school did something like that.

I grew up in RI and used to love the thrill of a day off especially if it was test day, giving me one more day to prepare.

I also remember the shock when I started working and snow days no longer applied. Sigh!

No snow days here... but if we had any snow -anything at all that hit the ground and stuck around we would have a snow day for the whole city lol- businesses and all shut down. But there isn't much of a chance for that.

But the kids got 6 weeks for Storm days- in the end they were so bored and wanting to go back to school so bad- And until we got internet back it was pretty desparate for all of us lol.

Have fun on your days off- enjoy the extra VMK time or study time...

Wow Snow Days!

I guess you do not want to know that we are expecting 80' and partly cloudy skies today!

We don't get snow days but we get Hurricane Days! And Hurricane Days are not boring, they can be downright terrible and scary.

None of the white stuff falling here, but I guess I've sort of created my own snow day today. I'm home sick today (woot!)...not to mention I got about 4 hours of sleep last night. Yeah. I'd pretty much be useless at school, even if I decided to go. I'll probably get more school work done at home anyways (that's a little sad if you ask me- shouldn't it be easier to work at school?). Maybe I'll even have time for a little VMK...

Hi neighbor! Of course, we got the same 5+ inches of snow, but DS, ILikeCheeze, only got a 2 hour delay.

He was not happy. Most of the area (Hey, we saw your's listed!) schools were closed!

Why thank you! I am already feeling a good deal better (a good thing, too- finals week! argh!) and have gotten a good 4 hours of work in today. I'm still working on stuff, but maybe after this next assignment I'll log on for a bit- just to do a credit run . School work is a lot less painful when you don't have to do it at school (and when you've got access to the DIS all day!)

I don't like snow and would rather see spring come . I am ready to see the trees and flowers bloom again and hear the birds cheerping away! I can't wait until we can exit a building and not feel a cold rush of air smash against our faces. Oh the anticipation for the end of something old and the start of something new!

In Canada today it was raining! Not snowing but raining I almost fainted. Normally in my town we are covered in snow but no the grass is green and it's WARM! wow! This year has been the best

Does it usually snow there? LOL I HATE snow, and yes I know hate is a strong word and so I use it in that way! LOL. I would rather be where it is warm and cozy! Floridia, here I come! lol. I would hate for it to snow often. I am happy winter is only one season of the year! LOL
