We are getting a nasty winter storm system though it was still 80 and sunny, but it's producing 30-50' waves!!
Haha....the first year we moved here we got the first big snow of the season and my kids were thrilled thinking no school....UM NOPE!! Not here!! WE have only been cancelled twice in 2 years and it was for extreme cold. When we lived in Ohio, if they even thought it was going to snow, they would close the schools...snow days were used up by the beginning of December.
Anything headed toward Massachusetts? We need some snow!
That is 2 more snow days then we have had.
LOL, yeah we don't get those either! We did have school closed for cold for 2 days, I think it was 2 years ago. I thought that was silly, I think it was because we do have some kids further out in our district.
Sorry though, I am not cheering on the snow! I need to move LOL. My DS has never driven in it, so I am worried sick about him getting home from school today, and to school tomorrow.
Our DS did his behind the wheel during the winter. We got about 6" one day he was supposed to go out and he figured it would be canceled but they didn't and I was glad, living here you need to learn how to drive in snow. Take your DS to the school parking lot tonight when it is snowing and empty and have him drive around, especially have him try to spin out so he can get used to what it feels like and how to correct for it.
The bummer is we never get snow days around here. They get the roads cleared way too fast. MAYBE if the system slides a little north and the worst hits right at 6:00AM on Wednesday we MIGHT get a 2 hour late start
.
hercamore lives in an area that is more rural and more open--you always get blizzards down by you...My BIL and SIL live near Cabelas and they get snowed in once a year or more.
