we're not supposed to go to places that aren't Disney affiliated?
Ok just back and here's my review and pics. First of all, let me tell you we purchased the ice/snow combo... did the ice when we got there, had Thanksgiving dinner at 2:40 at Villa de Flora right there at Gaylord Palms, then did the 5pm snow. The snow is a 45 min session.
The ice was spectacular, well worth every cent. The dinner was phenomenal. Delicious. The snow was a let down. I now know why they don't post pics of it. Even the pic they do have up on their website is strangely misleading. It looks a lot bigger than it is. Basically they erected a tent, filled the back half with some snow (one part for snowangels and "snowmen" though no one was actually building snowmen) and the other part for snowball target which the kids flocked to and really did love. Then they have two very small snowtube slopes. It looks a lot larger in the picture. One person goes down at a time. Only one slope was open this evening. That's the only actual snow there is. The other half of the tent consists of five carnival games and a food stand with the worst cotton candy I've ever had!
That being said, my nephew (he's 5) did enjoy himself. I just expected it to be magnificent like the rest of the day. I'm hoping this was just a test run and they'll expand as necessary in the future. I definitely wouldn't pay just for snow. The combo isn't bad since you get to go to the ice as well!! Here are some pics:

We're heading to Ice and Snow in a couple weeks. Can anyone tell me what floor of the hotel these exhibits are located on? Thanks!

ChipnDale, we are doing both ICE! and SNOW! in Nashville this weekend, and then the Rockettes afterward. My concern was our clothes getting wet from the "snow" like it does when we play in our yard. Was that an issue at all? I am trying to decide if I need to take something for us to change into before the Rockettes.
Thanks,

When I called the hotel they said to drive around and park by the convention center where this i taing place. Less of a walk then going through lobbt. There are also supposed to be free musical shows to see in the hotel. Has anyone been to these?
