Do you reserve equipment for snorkeling ahead of time? I need to reserve some parasailing time & wondered if I should reserve the snorkeling stuff now too. Or should we just reserve this when we get on the ship?

You can reserve it now, when you get on the ship or when you get to Castaway Cay. I've never seen them run out nor have I heard anthing on these boards that they've run out.

We decided late in the day to give it a try and there was plenty of gear. By forwarned the water gets murky later in the day due to activity. I also thought the price was really too steep $25. per person. Essentially we paid $50.00 for about an hour. Do it early.

We paid the 32.00(I think) for the snorkeling, floatation devices and bikes, I thought it was a good deal. We didn't snorkel 'till later in the day about 1:00 and didn't think to get them earlier. There were pleanty still there.

especially this time of year, you can sometimes find snorkel sets that are reasonably priced, and if you are like me and get hooked on snorkeling, you could have bought your equipment for what you pay to rent after a couple of times...just my thoughts.

There seemed like they had alot. We bought our own and it certainly has paid off, because this is our 2nd trip with using them twice. If you don't want to buy, I would wait until you get there because if you get crummy weather (heaven forbid!) you might not want to spend the money.
