Snorkeling In St Martin???

ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A GOOD PLACE OR EXCURSION TO PICK THAT INCLUDES GOOD SNORKELING WHILE IN ST. MARTIN? WE WILL BE THERE IN THE BEGINING OF MARCH.

St. Maarten is not known for grat snorkeling, the reefs have been trashed by storms in 1995 and 1998, but you could d the Rhino riders and the snorkeling is alright, plus you get he ride. If theyoffer a day trip to Anguilla, the snorkeling is nice there.

St Maarten also gets a lot of wind which can stir up the sand on the ocean floor which makes visability pretty bad. I like the sound of the Shipwreck snorkel trip. Haven't done it. Heard that the Pinel Island snorkeling is pretty good.

Just don't have your heart set on snorkeling. Consider a beach day (we went to Orient Bay and it was beautiful, the beach was nice and the water was great).

Plan on snorkeling on St. John's during your St. Thomas stop. Its the best.

We just returned from our most "Magical" cruise and I highly recommend the Buck Island Sail and Snorkel!

It is only 6 people and Captain Karl is a hoot! You get a personal guide taking you around the reef and I believe his name was Tim, would go down and take close ups!

We saw a sea turtle and a stingray and many, many species of fish and fauna!

You snorkel off the boat and Captain Karl provides a snack and drinks after you snorkel! It was a great ride over to the island! DD12 was not feeling too chipper on the way over but once in the water things changed! Captain Karl let her sail the boat back to shore! One of many highlights of her trip! Mine was her trying to ditch me off the back of the boat!LOL
