Sneaky Parents and 20 day dance!!!

Just wanted to share but I have the BEST parents in the world! Dh and I were doing the "Were going on our Honeymoon in 20 days" dance today and called WDW to make our final payment, when they informed us that it had all been taken care of already!!!! Not only that but there is a $1000 credit on our account to use for room charges!!!!! (Were splitting our stay so thats possible. ) Sure enough as soon as we got off the phone my father calls to tell us it was a "surprise" gift from my mother and him, and since we delayed our honeymoon because of my class schedule they wanted to really make it special. I can't believe how sneaky they are but I will have my payback when they go to Disneyland and find some Disney florist gifts waiting for them.

Just wanted to share! Now its the 19 days dance!!!!!

That's wonderful of your parents to do for you and have a great honeymoon! Just a word, though. Please call WDW back and speak to a supervisor (and get their name) to confirm that the $1000.00 will be a credit on your room. We ran into such a hassle last year when we tried to do this. In short, had 2 rooms but had to cancel one due to illness in family. We had also sent an extra $500 to the room account for spending money. Was assured by a few CM's that we would have a "great" credit on our room since both rooms had already been paid for. When we went to check in (Polynesian concierge), we were told that there was NO MONEY on credit and any extra money put on the account would be refunded to us the same way we sent it (which was by check). Not sure if it was because it was a "package" - maybe if you are room-only, it may make a difference. Just please check so you won't have the same problems we did.

Ill do the dance becuase we have 23 days!!! We arrive on May 20th to celebrate our 4th aniversary!

Congratulations, what an awesome gift. Make sure you pick them up something nice as a thank you! My parents did the same thing for us. We sent them a check to pay off our wedding, and on our wedding night as we were opening our cards, there was our check voided and a bunch of cash. Parents rock. Enjoy your long awaited honeymoon!!!
