That poor snake was just trying to get warm on the pavement. I saw the pic yesterday and it looked like a harmless rat snake (Black Racer I think it's also called). We've got them in the yard here in AL and I'll take as many as I can find. Send them down the chipmunk holes!

I'm glad they removed it safely instead of killing it. Poor snake was probably just as confused and scared by all the crowds as they were of him!

I've seen snakes a few times warming themselves on the walkway between the Boardwalk and the Swan. Snakes just doing what snakes do ...

We encountered a snake at water country in Williamsburg. He was on the walkway to one of the rides. He wasn't very big but not something you want to be walking by in bare feet!

He refused to pay the new concrete usage fee and so was removed. Going forward all snakes who want to get warm on the concrete must pay up or be removed.

I saw a snake out in the paths when I was Legoland Florida this January. I walked away from it after taking a picture because I’m a tourist. Of course it was in the Cypress Gardens area where the warning signs mention the wildlife but it was still shocking to see regardless

Remember that the snakes are more frightened of the people. That walkway area is huge and it's very easy to walk around them and keep a wide distance

Yes they can be and a snake like that one is completely harmless and no threat to you.
