Thanks. Do you know the range of those 2. Always interested in new knowledge to share with my students in relation to FloridaHugsForEeyore said:I have a book called Florida's Fabulous Reptiles and Amphibians, and they list the other two poisonous snakes as the Timber Rattlesnake, and the Southern Copperhead. I am actually rather fascinated with snakes, but not too close, please!![]()

Checking my trusty book ........ the timber rattlesnake (also called the canebrake Rattler) range is the extreme most northern central counties of Florida. The Southern Copperhead's range is the panhandle, mostly in Liberty, Gadsden, Jackson, and Calhoun Counties. I love this book - I bring it on every trip to Florida, since you never know what wildlife you may meet!Talking Hands said:Thanks. Do you know the range of those 2. That happened recently to a friend of mine and it was on TV. Apparently even an aligator appreciates a nice cool, clean pool *wink*lajones81 said:Things to avoid:
Humidity (practically impossible in Florida)
Long lines (use fast pass)
Crowds (go at off peak times)
***new addition*** snakes!
Some of my family lives in Florida. They took their screen off over their pool to be fixed and later awoke to an alligator in their pool!

the ladies screamed
and the men paled. I love rats-have had 2 of the little critters, tame of course, so it did not bother me! Now a snake that is a different story. I would have been freaked out for days and not sat on a bench again!
