ok so i realise this is a tough one to answer but am just wondering what YOU do....how much do you budget for snacks during the day? we are a family of 4...2 adults, and 2 children one with a very sweet tooth who loves popcorn, sweets etc!! i am excuding breakfast, lunch, and dinner from this...so just i suppose money for drinks, popcorn, etc that we might need during the day. i am planning on bringing lots of bags of crisps and sweets with us too but just wondering do you all think 40 euro per day is a reasonable amount or should i budget for more? x

Seeing as this is excluding lunch as well as breakfast and dinner I think it's more than ample. I'd suggest you use the excess each day as a cocktail fund!

Iv bought loads of bottles of drinks to take in the parks, they are about ¬3.50 I think which is extortionate to me! And some crisps and biscuits, so think we'll just be buying hot choc and churros as snacks lol! ¬40 is plenty we'll probably spend around ¬10 a day this time.

You can save money on buying soft drinks is the shop in the train station.

I would say €40 is too much personally but it depends on how much you eat.

40 is more than enough for sweets. I'd say too much. As suggested buy drinks not in parks. I usually fill a bottle with juice for each of my boys at breakfast in hotel. Never had a problem with that and this covers our day very good. Also when getting lunch in counter service restaurants I get minute maid orange juice for my boys and me and we share and that leaves us with one pack not opened. And I get all the sweets from home, we do buy some popcorn, but it's really so expensive. Some candies just for the mood. I doubt we spent more than 15eur for snacks per day.

But if you're family with sweet tooth, that's a different story :goodvibes

We didn't want to carry stuff, so when we were thirsty bought a bottle of 7-Up or whatever and split it between the 4 of us (how tight are we:rolleyes2) - it was enough to keep us going, no need to spend long in loo queues and no bottles to carry:thumbsup2 We didn't buy a lot of snacks - an icecream or tow, or maybe tea and a cookie if desperate!

Last time the only snacks I remember buying are doughnuts when we first arrived, a big lolly for each of the kids, and a bottle of water on our last day! Other than that we coped with big meals, snacks from home such as cereal bars and mini cheddars, bottled water from home that we refilled at restaurants because the big bottles of water we bought were too much for us to drink in one go (me and 2 kids). I expect to spend more this time though because it's going to be coooooold and we'll need hot chocolate stops. I think our meals will come to £200 and I'm hoping to take £350, so £150 extra for some small souveniers and our snacks and hot drinks.
