Does anyone else have a "Disney Snack" tradition?

Way back in 2000, on our inaugural trip to WDW, I stopped at Walmart and purchased some snacks for our trip. One of the things I bought was a "Cheesit" type product called "Cheddarfetti", made by a company in Pennsylvania. I also bought Snickers Kudos, something I never bought before.

Well, since then, those 2 items, (and a couple more) have become part of our Disney vacation. They are a "tradition" if you will.

I now have to order Cheddarfetti on line, because I can't find it anywhere. This time, the web site was not working, and I had to call Pennsylvania to get it!!! But, I was successful, and Cheddarfetti will once again be part of our Disney ritual!!

Please tell me I'm not the only one that has certain snacks that are "part" of any Disney vacation???

Animal crackers and Goldfish - my daughter's a very picky eater and these are her favorites.

Also, we go to Goodings and get cherry tomatoes because same DD doesn't eat well on vacation because she is to distracted w/ the characters and also picky(but she eats cherry tomatoes like candy, go figure:confused: ). So we get the tomatoes for her to eat in the room because I get so concerned about her not eating.

My DD has goofy eating habits, but I'll keep her:)

Fruit snacks....very easy to carry and will help children wait patiently in line for things. They also come in handy for other little ones......once while waiting for Tarzan Rocks, a little girl sat next to us that fell down while on her way into the theatre.....she was crying real bad and imagine that.....fruit snacks made her all better;)

That squirt cheese, and nuts. Not sure why but they have gone on every trip. We also take wheat thins but thats because I try to at least pretend to be healty on vacation.

Our Disney snack tradition is Entemanns Rasberry Danish for breakfast. The first few times we visited WDW, we stayed in the FW trailer homes (now cabins) and always brought one with us for breakfast. Now that we've bought DVC, and can no longer get Entemann's at home, we always buy one (or 2 or 3) at the general store or grocery stop on the way to WDW. We've got to have breakfast of Entemann's and coffee at least once in WDW.

We always take licorice twists to munch on in the parks. They last a long time and they don't melt in the hot Fla. sun. I also pack crackers and fruit to have in our resort room but I find that we usually don't eat the room snacks. We are usually too beat to eat!!!

Fun thread!! Gosh, it's good to know that I'm not as weird as I thought! :p

Our favorite Disney "snacks"...Starbursts and Twizlers!! :D I'm still finding Starburst wrappers in my backpack from our last trip!!

:p IVY :p

Since our first trip in 1999, and five trips later, we go to Costco a few weeks before the trip and get their big bag of Trail Mix. It is so good! I have tons left over and just bring it home. It has to go with us every year, not sure why, but we bring it to the parks every day in snack bags. Makes for a great snack and it hits the spot.

Us too! And Mike and Ikes. We'll also buy snakcs in the parks, usually popcorn.

peanut butter crackers make a great pick me up when you wanna skip a meal

Beef Jerky! We love to snack on that while in line for rides. I think I buy at least 8 bags at Sam's Club before our trip.

We also bring microwave popcorn for snacks at OKW in the afternoons; the kids also like to feed the ducks from the porch with the leftovers.

I don't get it either....my dd does the exact same thing. Extremely picky eater to the point that we were concerned she had an eating prob. but she gobbles cherry or grape tomatoes by the pint. We even bought her a colander that's just hers so she can fix them herself.

on topic: Poptarts are a staple on vacations for us, peanut butter crackers, and fruit rollups, etc.

thats funny! My DD almost 3 loves cherry or grape tomatoes too! ITS A SMALL WORLD!!:wave2:

the individual bags of goldfish are a must. they aren't heavy, so they don't weight down our park bag and they are just the right serving size.

And even though we look like total idiots - a can of spay cheese and a sleeve or two of regular saltines is a WDW park tradition for us. (especially if we are hitting a water park) The three of us can plow thru a can of that stuff and two sleeves of crackers in one sitting and skip lunch. DS loves the stuff and i don't normally buy it at home.

I forgot....cereal. We take a big box and put some in small snack bags in their fanny packs so my dds can snack whenever they want.

Our family likes the Gummi Fruit Snacks. It does wonders for the kids attitudes and even my DMIL enjoyed them.

We go for the micro popcorn for evening snacks.

We also make sure to get popcorn from the parks in the decorative cup so we can take that home as a souvenir.

We always take Mickey and Minnie PEZ dispensers and refills for our daughter and son. Sometimes we take Goofy for me and the DW, too.
