Hi! Thanks for still reading ... scrap books take me sooo long to do, I have a whole bag of photos and momentoes from our honeymoon for my next one, I should really try and get it done before our August vacation!

Love the scrapbooks. Wish I had the time and patience to do that! I tried getting into making them and have a wonderful one from our honeymoon in Paris. But I gave it up. I end up making digital books now. I do most of the design in photoshop which does give me some flexibility to add fun stuff. Do a lot of scanning and have lots of cute backgrounds (I often scan my scrapbook paper to use).

So jealous you get to go so soon! DS is dying to go back...he can't wait for October to get here.

Hi! I think digital books could be something I look at doing in the future, scrap books are fun but they do take me a long time to complete lol

Thanks Lesha, I'm pleased how the scrapbook turned out - although I just sort of threw pictures and souvenirs from the trip together rather than plan it out.. it looks ok!

Hi! Good to hear from you - I am so excited for the Africa Trek but a little nervous at the same time, I've never done anything like the zip-lines before... I don't think DH really knows what it is I've booked (he just trusts me to plan our trips!), so it's going to be a fun experience for him too



Not a lot of updates now, everything is pretty much ready for both trips!

Although I did order some new Havaiana flip-flops which arrived this week...

These are my absolute favourite thing to wear in the theme parks - they seem to give me more support than normal flip-flops and (touch wood) never give me blisters!

Hope everyone has had a good week! 27 days now until our vacation now!


I've had a pretty good week... Thursday morning, about 4am, I got my accounting exam results and... I PASSED!! all three!! Couldn't believe it - I don't have the best record with these exams (even lost a job a few years ago because I failed one!) so I get really nervous for results.. so I was incredibly relieved and happy to get an email saying I'd passed all of them

The resits are late August, which would've meant taking revision notes on our upcoming vacation but now I can relax, and only one paper to take in November.. and I'll be qualified!




Also - it's July, so last family newsletter has been sent!

DH's family have not been to Blizzard Beach before, so it was fun researching the water park for them

I adore the scrapbook. I have piles of paper and pictures, but still haven't gotten around to putting either our September or February trip together... that could be because I'm still working on our wedding scrapbook, from 2008.

I am 100% with you on the Havaianas. I wear them all through the parks and have yet to have an issue. Love them, I buy a pair whenever they go on sale at my local store.

Can't believe your August trip is getting so close, how exciting!

Thank you so much everyone for the congratulations! It's such a nice feeling, no resits and knowing the end of studying is in sight ... I'm planning to take the final case study paper in November, then I have to complete some forms - but potentially could be qualified by the end of this year

I had a really nice weekend celebrating the results! DH & I had some champagne with dinner on Friday, and went out for a meal on Saturday I also treated myself to a load of new Benefit makeup (my favourite!) which I'll take with me on vacation.

I also found out that a little beauty shop in our town sells OPI nail varnishes.. and had the new Minnie Mouse range!!

23 days to go until August trip... days are dragging a bit now, we can't wait to get away too because the weather has been miserable for about 3 months here now! Heavy rain nearly every day and no hotter than 60s brrrr - looking forward to some Florida heat!

Hi everyone!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend - sun is finally shining here, summer has arrived!
We went to stay with DSiL for the weekend, it was pretty much all of the family travelling to Orlando next month - we had a little mini-planning party last night, checked everyone was happy with the theme park & meal plans... we're all getting sooo excited right now! 18 sleeps and counting!!



Jumping ahead to our vacation next year... our 11 month window just opened up for DVC bookings at our home resort - so I've just booked 2 nights at the Boardwalk Villas before our cruise!

We might possibly look at changing it to another resort at the 7 month window - but I think BWV will be great, our main things to see in WDW will be the Fantasyland expansion and the refurbished Test Track in Epcot

I went through my box of 'Disney things' yesterday - and decided to bring someone on the trip this year who's not been for 3 years....

DH & I bought him on our first trip to WDW together in 2006 - he came with us again in 2008 & 2009, but then we didn't take him for a few trips. However, as DN is coming with us we think she'll quite like carrying him around

I know Disney doesn't sell these anymore, but I've not heard anything about the signals being switched off that make him talk & interact in the park, so I hope he'll be ok. I put new batteries in and he works fine (talks, plays a quiz game & sings!)


Our first Disney park will be Animal Kingdom, so I've dressed him in the safari costume!
