Snacks on 2008 Plan

We have the basic plan and was wondering what counts as snacks now?

We were there in december using the 2007 DDP. The cm's at SSR repeatedly informed us that as of Jan 1 snacks will be single service items such as a brownie, a muffin, a bottled beverage, etc.. No longer can you use a snack credit on a box of cookies, box of mini muffins, 1/2 gallon milk, etc.. Yet another major blow to the 2008 DDP.

Yes, I've been reading this also from guest who have recently returned from using the 2008 plan. Also no more bags of chips, cookies or candies (to take home and use up the extra credits).

we just got back last night... we got the deluxe dining plan and got 2 snacks a day and our last day at the park we had 6 snack credits lefted so we got popcorn, frozen strawberry bar, ice pop, 3 large fries from village fry in fantasyland. definitely a lot of food but well worth it

Hi...

We just got back last night. The plan changed yesterday in the computer, and it is true that only individual servings are now considered snacks - its no longer things under $4 which is a bummer - no more boxes of donuts, bags of pretzels etc......just the individual sizes. I was so bummed!!!! We were also not able to exchange our left over quick service meal to snacks which we had been in the past!!!! What a bummer!!! We were on the old plan 2007.

Well then that might just end the plan for us. I am not sure it is going to be worth it. Maybe things will change as the year goes on? Popcorn can be shared? I understand some of the things like donuts etc... I hope we can still use them at main st for breakfast?

Well, technically, almost anything can be shared...it's whether it's considered a single serving or not.

So any single serve item $4.00 and under is considered a snack item? If so, that makes sense to me.

I thought it was kinda crazy that they allowed a snack credit to be used for a ½ gallon of milk or a box of donuts.

Any thoughts on whether you can still get school bread for a snack? or Main street bakery in the AM-pastry for Breakfast? I hope so! I LOVE my school bread!! Please someone let me know if you find out!!
