The last time we were at Disney in December it was cold! I can't imagine wanting ice cream, or kakigori, or many of the cold snack items available. I am hoping there will be enough snack items for colder weather

Muffins, cupcakes, stuffed pretzels, pastries from France, eggrolls, pastries from Norway...

Check the sticky at the top of the page for LOTS of options of all kinds!

LOL....don't always count the hot weather out.

Last year in the afternooon it hit 80degrees. For me that was hot, water, ice cream weather. :lmao:

Check out the snack list in the sticky...there will be plenty.

Just FYI: the kaki gori have gone up in price and are no longer a snack credit.:sad1: As others have suggested check the snack list at the top of this DDP board. There are lots of snacks available that aren't cold (although ice cream sandwiches are good any time of the year:rotfl:).

Ice cream sandwiches are no longer a snack. I am very current on the snack list on the sticky. And from the most recent updates kaki gori are still included most of the time when you ask.

Being from NY, we don't think it's cold at WDW in Dec! :lmao:

Anyway, you'll find lots of snacks that aren't ice cream.

I have no issues eating cold stuff like ice cream during the winter! It's good all year long in my eyes lol

We are Canadian, but we still don't want to eat ice cream or Dole Whips when its 40 degrees outside (like it was on our last trip). There was actually snow on the ground in shaded areas - which of course I know is not the normal Florida December. But we have been there twice in December - 5 years apart - and neither time was it ice cream in December weather. This will be our 3rd Disney Christmas trip and I am thinking some warm snack options would be nice.

Once again for our December trip it was no-where near ice cream weather. Record low temperatures were recorded several days we were there, and the high temperatures were often very cold by Florida standards. The park vendors made big money selling gloves, hats, sweatshirts, and coats - not so much on ice cream :)
This is 3 for 3 for us. Perhaps we will need to rethink Florida in December if warm "ice cream weather" is what we are looking for.

We did enjoy some Starring Rolls cupcakes, some Chicken curry pockets from China, multiple bakery items from France, and jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzels from multiple locations. We did have trouble using up our credits as we were just too full to eat snacks, and ended up using the snack credits for breakfast twice and instead of lunch on another day.

It was 24 degrees when we were there a couple of weeks ago. Did not have our usual allotment of Mickey bars, but here were some new to us items that satisfied the need for warmth~

AK-Hot from the vendor Sugared pecans and Sugared Almonds
Hot Eggrolls from the Eggroll cart between Yak and Yeti and Africa, (my friend who is a former server say these are the same eggrolls from the TS)

Epcot-Key lime pie @ sunshine seasons
Chocolate and carmel Dipped Strawberry from Germany
Freshly hot Carmel Corn from Germany
We had lots of other snacks, but were excited to try these different things, especially in the light of impending frostbite.:goodvibes

We just came back and found lots of options! Popcorn and Mickey rice krispie treats were our favorites, but we also had plenty of muffins, cupcakes, danishes, soft pretzels, also plus an occasional Mickey Ice Cream pop. My DD had ice cream as a dessert every night - she is not bothered by colder temps to eat ice cream. However it was warmer there than at home.

The cheese nachos at DHS are a good snack for a cold day, and you can add (for another snack credit or OOP) a small cup of warm chili sauce.

That said, I perfectly enjoyed my premium mickey ice cream bar at MK on 14 Dec, when it was near 35 degrees out.
