We are headed to Aulani next week! (Months and months of talking and planning down to days before travel!!). My kids keep asking me about the inflight entertainment and snacks. I told them we get better snacks than coach, which is how we normally fly. I also told them that there will be first run movies. Has anyone flown recently to Aulani via Delta Comfort that would know this? We are flying Atlanta - Honolulu

Thanks!!!

We flew that leg back in September in standard coach. As of September 2016, Delta serves the same meals and snacks to all fare classes as well as complimentary alcohol. I believe it's only certain long haul itineraries, but the Atlanta to Honolulu flight is one of them.

In September, we could choose from 3 different hot entrees. We went with a pasta which was ravioli and it came with a breadstick, caesar salad, shrimp, and a brownie. They served this about mid-way through the flight. We had the same options on the way back for the hot meal. On the way there, we also got a turkey sub about an hour before landing. They did not provide this on the way home, however it was a red eye flight. As far as snacks, they offered a variety of things like snack mix, cookies, peanuts, and crackers. Sodas were offered frequently as well. They came around quite a bit.

The entertainment options were great. There were easily over 100 movies and TV series to watch. They had HBO and Showtime TV series available to watch, and newer movies that were just released. It was very similar to the on demand movie service that your cable provider might offer. It was movies that were recently released on DVD, as well as some classics mixed in. I watched the Jungle Book and DH watched one of the super hero movies. We watched more but I don't remember what they were. Also, they had several games as well as music available on the seatback entertainment set, which was also a nice option.

Thank you so much!!! This is great information, perfect to share with the kids. It is such a long flight and they are a little anxious, so this will help them prepare (Me too, as I am a nervous flier! The complimentary drinks will come in handy too!)

We flew that same route, and the reverse, a few weeks ago on Delta but we were in First Class. So I can't advise you about the meals in Comfort +, but I can confirm what @nkerina said above about the entertainment. There is plenty of movies, TV series, and music to chose from on the flight.

That's our favorite flight - we flew it in March (and will be flying it again later this month). Plenty of movies - games too - and they come around so often with snacks and food you won't even know you've flown for 10 hours. We were quite impressed with the new food offerings too. The meals were surprisingly very tasty.
We're flying first class next time (first time ever) and I simply can't wait for the lay down seats!!! (though we actually might be MsP to HNL but it's essentially the same flight experience)

Those seats are great! Even better on the return trip which is a red-eye.

not for me - I'm going HNL to the mainland and then mainland back here. So my first flight I got a crappy HNL to Seattle and Seattle to Bos, no lay down. And that's my overnight flight. I really wanted HNL to ATL or MSP but those were an extra $800. But coming back home I"ve got BOS to ATL (or MSP, I forget now) and then onto HNL. It will be a very early morning flight so we'll sleep for sure.

if your picky eaters you can order a kids meal.
Wish I could make that left turn on boarding plane but until then economy comfort has been a lifesaver with my flights to Europe.

I've been saving miles and ticket $$ were crazy this summer so it seemed like the time to use some miles. Why pay something like 1200 for a coach seat when I can pay 1400 for first and I used miles and came out very close in price. Staying in hawaii just wasn't an option this summer - college visits with our son back on the east coast, sick parents, etc. Hawaii is lovely, and living here is amazing, but it's SO far away when you need to get back to the east. Anyway, we'll be the ones who aren't acting all blasé about sitting there. Hopefully not looking too out of place. We fly it a few times a year, and i made a point to remind my teenager that this might be the only time we do this.
