snacks at cove cafe

I don't even think I was in there ever my last cruise :( Does anyone know the hours? I know I will have to stop in and grab a sweet for my daughter (under 18) LOL.

Is it considered bad form to walk in and just get a few desserts to go? I will buy espresso there once or twice but probably not every day, whereas, I might like to grab a dessert from there daily... <Insert sheepish grin here>.

nope, we do it all the time. we stay in the adult only area mostly and grab a sandwich or pizza for lunch after which we then grab a plate with a few items on it from cove café for lunch. no one bats an eye.

Question - is hot tea free or is there a charge in Cove Cafe? Are tea bags available at the drink station outside Beach Blanket? I drink tons of hot tea. Thanks! Our cruise leaves Monday and we're sooooo excited! Gotta try some of those good - oh heavens!

Hot tea has a charge in cove cafe unless you are concierge on the older two ships. There is hot water and various tea bags at the self service station. We even had PG tips.

Standard tea is free at MDRs and the Buffett and room service.

Wish I knew that when we sailed on the Magic 2014!

In summer 2014 we had it but it wasn't then automatic, our concierge host signed it off we had to show her card. Now on the Magic until the CL is in force you get free standard drinks there if concierge.

The best thing is to read my trip reports they tell you it all!

Thank you @DISNEY FANTASY!

We sailed concierge last year on the Dream, but unfortunately not this year to Alaska. I'll be getting my tea bags at the drink stations or Cove Cafe, then. :thanks: Last year I brought some ginger tea with me (to be sure I had it) and our checked luggage was searched, understandably so, because I'm sure that when they go through the scanners/dog sniff process they probably look like a certain kind of weed - lol. I don't mind that they search my luggage, really, but our connection is shorter than I would like in Toronto and with the process of going through customs/additional security, etc.; I just don't want the hassle or risk adding time unnecessarily, ya know? I really appreciate your answering my question so quickly. You're awesome!

Have a fantastic cruise!

I don't know about Cove, but this week on the Dream, Vista Cafe in the Atrium did have cured meats, olives, and cheeses every afternoon.
