We were at Epcot last year and loved all the countries but didn't take in nearly enough sampling as we "should" have.

This is what I recall from our last visit:
China--egg rolls
Mexico--churro
France--cheesecake
Germany--brat, apple struedel
UK--fish and chips

This time (next month) we're gonna lose our inhibitions and nosh to our heart's content so bring on the recommendations!

What are your favorites and where in World Showcase?

New Zealand and possibly Australia had lamb offerings - they get great reviews and when we tried them last year we quickly went back for a 2nd. There are reviews of what folks have tried so far on the allearsnet.com website!

Oh how badly I wanted those fish n chips and the line was always too long or I was too tired to wait in it! One of the two!

I'd like to hear more too because we plan on really doing WS right this time as we always overlook it!

WDWO

They probably had booths at the Food & Wine Festival. There are not pavillions for these countries during regular times of the year.

Marvellous pastry from the bakery in France. It's chocolate mousse with dark hard chocolate inside on a flaky pie crust--yummy. Also had a good frozen mochachinno from coffee cart in Italy. For more of a meal, we had a good chicken shwarma gyro sandwich from the Morocco counter service. It was big enough for 2.

We tried to eat around the world last trip and failed. Should have shared a Napoleon in France...yummmm. In Japan the green tea was great and we had a sampler platter that was good. Also the pretzel in Germany was very good. Hated the egg rolls in China though but they seem to get good reviews here. Had spumoni in Italy, but wish I would have noticed the cannoli's first. Had the fish and chips too.

Rice Kreme and Almond Pretzels in Norway and a freshly made Toll House Ice Cream Sandwich (not the frozen kind) in MK.

We were at Epcot for the first day of the food and wine festival this year. We had a great time snacking around at all the booths . One thing that was really good was the chocolate creme brulee in France. So yummy! Also, we tried ice wine in Canada, which was really outstanding.

There last week. My must haves at the F&WF are the Cheddar Cheese soup and Honey Glazed Salmon, the St. Chateau Michele Johannesburg Reisling wine and the shrimp from Australia booths.

What are Almond Pretzels?

Don't forget the funnel cake (w/cherries) at the American Pavillion!!!

Try the smoked ham sandwhich made on warm pretzel bread in Germany!

If you like pasties, try a Cloudberry Horn in Norway. It just wouldn't be a trip without one for me.

I love the snow cones at Kaki Gori in Japan. I most be losing my mind too. I don't recall a New Zealand or Australia.

Your'e not losing your mind, Mike. New Zealand and Austrailia are in the WS now for the F&WF the rest of the year they are not.
I;ll have to look for those snow cones next week. Do you remember the flavors?

I second the funnel cakes at the American Pavilion. They are especially good with the fruit topping!!!

Also, if you are looking for drink suggestions, try the Kir Royal at the wine shop in France. It is champagne with Raspberry liquor - very tasty!!!

Whoa! Now this sounds good!
Is it there all the time or just during the F&W Festival?
