When you are on the Disney dining plan what do you end up using your snack credits on? Any suggestions?

Btw, What is Dolewhip? From what I have read it looks like a snack or dessert but I am not sure what it is.

We were there in September at the start of the Wine and Harvest Festival, so were able to use our snack credits at the kiosks. Some of those items would have cost $6+ so it ended up being a great use.

On the last day we also used some for baked goods (breakfast).

I believe there is an entire listing of snack credit items somewhere on these boards. That was very helpful.

A dole whip is a soft-serve pineapple and vanilla swirl ice cream ... I believe in a cone - but can also get it in pineapple juice. Available in Adventureland near the Swiss Family Robinson tree house.

These two threads helped me the most our first time on the DxDDP:

This is a list of all confirmed 2009 snack items:

Here you will find photos of the snacks:

I think the best rule to go by, anything under $4 most likely will be considered a snack. Muffins, cookies, pastries, popcorn, pretzels, etc...

My best find was the chicken fried rice at Y&Y CS in AK. My DS2 had it for lunch one day :thumbsup2 Would have never known that without the snack food picture thread!! :goodvibes

We had SOO many snack credits. They were used on snacks in the parks (pretzles, sweets), muffins from the food court (crumb cakes were amazing), drinks (some say this is a waste, but there were plenty to waste), and we brought home a *bunch* of mickey heads and such.

I use my left over ones on the little boxes of mickey/minnie or princess cookies and suprise my DD5 with them ever so often after returning home. Still have a couple of boxes from the last trip.

I don't understand how people have so many snack credits left? Don't you drink water? We will drink 3-5 bottles of water per day each so I'm sure we will be buying OOP for many of our snacks.

A lot of people bring their own cases of bottled water instead of buying it in the parks (because they think it's not a good choice for using a snack credit)
Some even have cases delivered to their hotels to avoid buying bottled water in the parks.

And if you're on the DxDDP and it's not hot, believe me, there will be leftover snacks. We were there in January, just for two days, just DH & me...we received 4 snack credits a day, and we were just way too full to eat between meals. Had 8 left when we checked out (meaning ALL of the snack credits were left.)

Now, it was freezing while we were there, literally - overnight lows in the 20's, and daily highs barely hitting the 40's -- so no hot-n-sweaty days for us. Actually not thirsty at all (except for hot coffee with our meals!) And DH doesn't do bottled water anyway (not necessarily "green" about using too many resources for plastic bottles, etc. - mostly he's just cheap:laughing: -won't pay for what comes out of the tap for "free"...even when it's Florida water:scared1: ) We just got yogurt & pastries for our road trip on our last day

Yes. I bring a bottle in to the park with me, and a couple of packets of Crystal Light type packets so I can just refill it and use the drink mix to mask the swampy taste.

Water, I can get anywhere. Disney treats (to eat at the park, or take home), I can't.
