SNA to Hotel via Bus

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows how much time is reasonable to plan to get from the airplane down to the bus pick up at the airport? We're taking the express to our hotel and it leaves on the hour. Our flight (supposedly - I do realize things can change) arrives at 8:40am. I'm guessing we'll miss that 9am bus. I'd rather not wait a full hour+ for the next one. Has anyone got an idea of how long it takes to get from the terminal to the busses? Thanks!

SNA is small. If you don't have checked bags, with a bit of luck you can make the 9:00 bus! Of course, that dewpends on the plane being on time.

I agree that you could possibly make the 9:00 am bus if you don't have to wait for bags, but be sure to walk quickly.

If you do check bags, I would just plan on the 10:00 am bus. Our experience with baggage claim at SNA was that it took a long time for bags to start showing up.

Super Shuttle also runs out of SNA. I have never taken the bus to the hotels because of the timing of the airport pickups. Make sure it is the Super Shuttle as the other shutle vans in the same area are very agressive, I think they drive to fast, and the one time I did take them the driver was rude yelling at people in van for no reason. I now make sure it is Super Shuttle as I have always found them to be kind-- not yelling at people, they drive within the speed limits, Just good service in IMO. No matter who you take call for pick up -- unless it is pre planned already---a couple of days before you need return transportation to the airport. If you wait till that day or even day before times for pick-up can get you to airport to early. Getting in and out of Sna is very easy -- takes about half time as going via LAX. Have a nice time at DL
