Smoking Room at WL

We've just put our deposit down for our Sept 9 trip, and asked for a smoking room. (Hubby has a pipe.) They said this was mainly a no smoking resort, and it was only allowed on the 5th floor, but now I hear from different posts that the 6th floor is now used for smokers...anybody know for sure?

I don't know what views are available, but if I have a choise, (standard, woods or courtyard) do you know what wing we might be on. I don't want to pay the extra for a courtyard unless I have to, but would like to enjoy the firework over MK if given a choice. Does anyone know if we are on the North or South wing?

I know that smoking isn't PC, but hubby usually just enjoys his pipe over coffee, and with his evening cocktail. Do the dining spots have an outdoor patio so he can enjoy his pipe? We hope to have dinner at Artist Point, do they have a patio?

hi,

we recently returned from wl, yes, you are right about them moving the smoking optional floor. the smoking optional floor used to be on the 5th floor southwing. but as of april, the wl moved it to the 6th floor northwing. you will have either a courtyard or a woods view. maybe even a standard view. the woods view is the view that some say they can see the castle at night. just let the reservationist know that you want a smoking optional room by either calling or faxing your request.

artist point has a patio. and also, there is a lounge called the territory lounge which is adjacent to the artist point restaurant which allows smoking. i don't know about cigars or pipes. it was a very nice lounge with some snacks available.
