I just got back and I had a fabulous vacation, but two things really were the rain on my parade - being surrounded by smoke and lack of courtesy on a few buses.

The complete disregard for the smoking rules really bothered me. Waiting on the seats next to Sci Fi for an ADR - people smoking right there! Waiting for a bus - people smoking! Walking around the streets - people smoking right in the crowd - almost burned me once! Waiting for EMH wristbands at the Studios - someone got a wristband while still smoking! EMH nights were the worst - people basically smoked everywhere then! I was really disappointed and ended up with really itchy eyes and a sore throat from all this.

On one bus, around, there was a group of young people (maybe 18-23) who were really drunk. One guy was screaming at the top of his lungs the whole trip - now this was after midnight and everyone was exhausted but I had just had a fabulous day and this kind of deflated me. When he started cursing and saying some really inappropriate things, I just had it and more loudly than I intended said "Excuse me?" He did end up apologizing to me, but the bus driver should have done something. There are kids on this bus, and tired adults, who all paid a lot of money to be in DISNEY not hear a drunk kid scream and curse. On another occasion, just before the bus pulled into its stop, a family seated on the bus ride, pushed past the standers, almost knocking a few over, including an older couple, in order to get off the bus before them. I always thought if you're seated and there's a stander in front of you, it's common courtesy to let them off first! Again, bus drivers should announce that those standing are to be let off first.

I am considering writing a letter about that and about enforcing smoking restrictions better. Just a few bummers to an otherwise fabulous trip.

By all means write a leter to guest relations at WDW - they need to have feedback on what guests dislike.

I agree, sometimes people can be jerks. But when the bus is moving, what can the bus driver do? He can make an announcement but he can’t force people to stop, people will do what they want. We don’t seem to notice when 99% of people follow the rules, it’s the 1% that people notice. Yes I hate smoking, and I would have said something to the jerks on the bus, but I won’t let that stuff bother me.
