Are there any buildings that are smoking optional buildings at HH? If not, are there any designated smoking areas that are close enough to a building in which one may have to consider the possibilty of smoke wondering onto their balcony? If so, which buildings should we shy away from?

I think HHI DVC probably has the same smoking policy as the WDW resorts. No smoking, even on the balconies. There should be some designated smoking areas near each building. You might want to call the resort or member services for clarification of the policy at HH.

A reminder...smoking discussions are a hot topic and are no longer allowed on the DVC forums, so I need to close this thread.

Disney's Hilton Head and Vero Beach Resorts are governed by the same smoking policies as the WDW resorts.

HH has no villas where smoking is allowed but does have designated areas at the resort where smoking is permitted. The smoking areas are ay ground level and all of the baclonies are raised up a floor. (There are no ground floor villas due to building codes at HH.)

Here is a link where you can find maps, including smoking areas, at all Disney resorts. Resort Maps
