Hi we are getting ready to go to Kidani at the end of the month, Just wondering if the smoking area had been moved? We are smokers and felt bad for the non smokers who had to walk through the smoking area. I thought i read on here that they had moved it to the covered parking area? Thanks for the answers.

We were there in June, and noticed some people smoking right outside of the last elevator, closest to Jambo House. Come to think of it, I didn't smell smoke at the bus stop like we did last year. That could mean that they moved the smoking section, or we just lucked up and were at the bus stop when people weren't smoking.

Yes, the smoking area has been removed from the walkway that one used to return from the bus stop to the Kidani lobby. I can't say to where, but last May there were no "Butt Cans" at the junction of the two walkways where the smoking area had been.

Doesn't it make you wonder sometimes who selects stuff like that!?! During our first stay at The Village we thought that it certainly can't last long at the selected location.

Yes, I too noticed that the smoking area had been moved from by the bus stop a few weeks ago, no idea where to though. The weirdest place for a smoking area I think was Jambo House when they had one right next to the children's play area by the pool. It was bizarre walking past and seeing a cloud of smoke right next to the kids.

I'm not having a go at smokers by the way - I used to smoke myself, and smoke still doesn't bother me at all.

I noticed people smoking on the ground level near the Timon parking lot. If you take the outside elevator near valet parking, it comes out near that area. There is a rocky area set up with benches.

I do not smoke.

As smoking is a hot topic here, I need to close this thread before it degrades into more of a debate than a question and answer thread. We do not allow smoking threads.

Thank you all for your courteous replies to this thread.

Please ask upon check-in at your resort for the current smoking area locations.

Thanks.
