the teens axe spray!
Hmm, I agree that perhaps the porch area should be off limits to smoking, simply because as auntie mentioned, a lot of people gather there. I can't really think of any other place, I don't think it should be banned near the marina, but that's just my opinion.
And hey, some of us actually like the smell of a fine cigar! My wife can't stand the smell of cigarettes, but she actually enjoys the smell of a cigar. I find it pleasant as well, although not in huge doses obviously...heh.
Just think, we could be back in the time where people used to smoke waiting in line at Snow White...lol![]()
I didn't want to mention it...(worried about the wet noodles again!)..but I actually like the smell of a pipe. Find that some of them have a very nice aroma. Not sure if I'd care for it indoors but outdoors, it's never bother me.
In my experience I've had less issues with smoker/non smoker issues in a campground than when in a resort. Never had to change sites because it smelled of cigarette smoke. As most folks who smoke do so at their own site..they aren't restricted to smoking in congregated entries and exits of buildings or general stores..as they might be in the resorts. We are seasonal in our campground..and I don't have to fight my way past a group of smokers to go to the outdoor restaurant area..or pool..or even to the check in and grocery area. I think if they banned smoking at individual sites..they would then have to designate an area for smokers..and I think that has the potential for being worse, depending on where it's located. Let folks smoke at their sites..and they aren't harming anyone but themselves.God help them and give the strength to stop.
As a former smoker. Yes its a nasty habit and smells bad. But most non smokers don't understand and just fell like fussing about it or make smart a$$ remarks about it. as long as they are out doors let them be.
I am an x smoker fromt eh age 13-22 quit cold turkey and have never had another one since. I am a huge proponent of smoke free places especially the resorts I stay at. We have e mailed DVC numerous times and I hear it is to be discussed for the DVC resorts I hope they follow through with this like Disneyland has done.
If they ban smoking then my husbend will not go to Disney with us anymore. I agree that smoking is gross but my kids still enjoy having their father with them at Disney. When we go on long car trips my husbend does dipand we find that even more gross but at least he isnt't smoking around the kids. Anywho I am not a smoker but if they ban it at Disney then my kids will be without their father on alot a trips

Everybody has to set their own priorities, I guess.![]()
Does that mean no rooms are available to smokers..or that then entire resort..even a desigated area out doors for smokers? Is Disneyland entirely smoke free..with no designated areas in the parks or resort?
Being a camper myself and a person who has stayed at the resorts..I do find that it's different. I don't think smoking at your site particularly bothers someone else...I think the sites would have to be pretty darn close to one another. Again, I find it worse to walk through the thick smoke entering or exiting a building. I was at the hospital for my dad the other day..and I tell you it was the WORST. The employees are smoking outdoors..but it's cold and they are all bundled up against the building..you need fog lights to make your way through.
That is what is a shame about this habit. I can't imagine something so addicting that it would keep you from spending time with family members. My mom is the same way, we all went to disney last year...alot of my family for the first time, and she would not go (we think) because she couldn't smoke freely. she says it was the heat that kept her away, but i'm not so sure about that. You only live once, why do something to make that life shorter and spend less time with your family?
I see by your profile, Colson39, that you are averaging 1.33 posts per day. Time for an intervention????![]()
