This article was in todays (1-25) Orlando paper about Carnival stopping there smoke free cruise.

Maybe DCL will take up where Carnival left off.

While it would be nice if Disney would do that, I don't see it happening. Carnival has 20 ships. Disney has 2. If Carnival couldn't make 5% of its fleet make economic sense for that policy, Disney certainly won't commit 50% of its fleet to that policy.

BTW, thanks for the link. I thought Carnival's experiment was a good one and I'm please that they committed to it for these last five years.

If you're interested in a smoke-free cruise prior to Carnival's discontinuing them, here are some details from the article...

Nonsmokers insistent on a last breath of really fresh shipboard air will have to make due with Paradise's remaining nonsmoking cruises out of Miami. Brochure rates are between $1,349 and $2,199. Paradise will sail its final cruise as a smoke-free vessel on Sept. 5, when it will reposition from Miami to Long Beach via the Panama Canal. The 15-day cruise calls at Aruba; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; and Acapulco, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; fares start at $1,099 per person. Sailings from Long Beach on the Paradise start at $299.

I'd love to get on that repositioning cruise!
