Actually, a defrag will only rearrange the junk so it runs more efficiently.

You need good anti virus and anti spyware software to clear up any of the malicious applications, and you need to diligently keep them updated.

Isn't one of the recent microsoft updates a "Malicious software removal tool"? I have never used it but it sounds like what you need to get rid of the junk.

I have Norton that updates daily to both the Norton and MS websites - think that should do it? I ran my system scan as soon as I removed SmileyHeck from my computer, and it came back clean...I really do appreciate everyone's help!
