Smell on the ships?

MJ you might be on to something with this Ecolab company. I didn't realize how global they were or that the cruise industry is part of their focus. They even make large air freshener distribution system.

They had this system in our locker room/rest rooms at the hospital where I work. I've been in an outpatient office (much smaller and also fewer people) for the past 21 years and we don't have it there. Back then, the 'refills' for the system looked like a large tube of caulk, the type that you'd put in a caulking gun, except it was a gel inside of the cardboard tube which was very concentrated with the scent. The gel was similar to the Glade air fresheners we used years ago. (Once it shrunk and dried up it's time for a new one.) The cleaning staff took care of the refilling the gels but one day we were curious what the tubes were and opened one up.

Oh man, this is making me so sad that my sense of smell hasn't really returned after Covid. #2020istheworst.

Assuming it comes back eventually though, I'm definitely getting some Zeph Air for the home. I miss DCL sooooo much!

What do you spray it on? I had thought it was an air freshener type thing to just spray in the air, but I see it's not.

My dentist opened a new, larger office and I swear it smells like the Flight of Passage ride! I bought the Magic Candle air freshener scent for home. I'm looking forward to going back to the dentist now. I wonder if he's using this system.

Has anyone tried the Magic Candle "Castaway Cruise" scent? Wondering if that's supposed to be more "beachy" or if it's suppose to mimic the on-board cruise scent.

I had an air fresher of that for my car. While I liked the scent very much, nothing about it brought me back specifically to CC or the ship.

I also had the air freshener from MCC. It is not a super strong scent. It was good, and it definitely smelled beachy, but it didn't necessarily transport me to CC or the ship. I would probably get it again tho

I always associate Deck 5 of the Magic and Wonder to a strawberry candy smell. The entire floor has this hints sweet fun smell. Some times it's much stronger than others. Why? Because they use a strawberry scent when they make this science fun project for the kids. They must do it so often that the smell is always present and just lingers all over Deck 5.

I’ve gotten the cruise scent before though and honestly smells nothing like the cruise ships. Some of the other scents they sell are spot on but the cruise one just disn’t feel right.

Agreed, but I think they were more going for the smell of Castaway than the ships based on what I read on the description. It’s a great scent still and one of my favorites

What if I make the house smell like that and then when I go on vacation it doesn’t feel special to me because then it feels like home. When I want Home to feel like a Disney ship As a special memory. I’m so weird I know.

There is a certain song that brings me right to sitting out on the adult sun deck on any of the 4 ships...this has been going on for years. On the rare occasion I hear it on the radio I just melt and get transported to my favorite spot. I go into total relaxation mode. However, I refuse to buy the song for my playlist because I'm worried if I hear it a lot at home, it wont have that significance to me anymore.
