I did enjoy Smash Mouth - one of the few 90's bands that I actually liked. I saw them at Epcot at an Eat to the Beat concert once. It was fun! RIP to Steve.

So sad to hear of his passing so young, Smash Mouth was always on the Radio when I was a teen. They had such a fun energy to their music and lyrics. His vices got the best of him.

I knew All-Star from the criminally underrated movie Mystery Men before it was in Shrek. I am glad it found a bigger vehicle for success though.

I didn't even know what Smash Mouth was until I saw a preview of the movie Wag The Dog and a song called Walking On The Sun played in it and it got me curious to know more about Smash Mouth and I found Walking On The Sun a fun song especially with the lyrics "Don't delay right now supplies are running out" which made it seem Walking On The Sun was like a commercial jingle. If you like Smash Mouth another band you should check out from the 90's that was also popular was Chumbawamba who made their American debut with Tubthumper after releasing several albums in the UK in the 80's

It's so weird because just Saturday one of my sons and I were talking about Smash Mouth because they play the song at the end of the movie Rat Race.

Good band, good guy........too young.

I've heard the two most popular songs, but hadn't heard of him until a couple of years ago. A viral video went around of them performing at some beer and wine fest. He was so drunk that he was incoherent...and yet the show went on. It appeared that the band was used to his behavior, but it made no sense to allow him to carry on like that. He had that classic cirrhosis belly and so I figured he had a big problem. Poor guy, he's my age...hope he's at peace now.
