SMARTYPIG - anyone heard of it

I was looking for a higher rate online savings account and I came across this. They are advertising 1.35% APY and you can have multiple savings goals. This looks really interesting, but I am a little leary. Does anyone have any experience with this site? Is it safe to link my bank account to?

I've not used it myself but I've read about it on several blogs and I want to say in some of the personal finance mags that I read.

Just went to look and it says that they've been featured/recommended in CBS News, MSN.com, CNN.com and the New York Times. They seem to legit to me, but again, I don't have any personal experience. If you decide to sign up, come back and let us know how it went!

I have 2 accounts with them one for our cruise and one for our yearly disney expenses (DVC and ap's). So far I haven't had any problems with them. I'm going to help DS set up one when he gets home for disney college program for a savings account.

I've been using Smarty Pig for about a year to save for a trip to Disney and new dining room furniture. I haven't had any problems and it's very easy to use.

I really like the idea of keeping my savings goals separate and I think I'm going to take a chance and sign up. Does anyone know of any sign up bonuses out there?

SmartyPig is great for many reasons - the obvious their interest rate, and the not so - awesome cash back options at tons of retailers, and fun settings to help your children save or save for items like a wedding, baby, etc and contribution features to ask/allow your family/friends to contribute.

Quite legit and strongly recommended!
