Small World Holiday overlay soft open?

I have tried to find historical accounts of small world overlay opening. Does anyone know if it's common to open the day before or if it always opens on the announced day? I have a trip on the 12-14 and I was really hoping it would be open.

Same question with Tiana's Bayou. Thoughts on a the possibility of a soft open?

I don't recall ever hearing of a soft open for Small World Holiday.

Tiana could have a soft open or it could be doing AP/DVC/Club 33/cast member previews at that time.

Small World is going down next month for 2 months and again for more time next year. Seems like need to refurb the ride

Unlikely that it will open before the official start of the Christmas season.

Since Small World is specifically a holiday offering, I’d be surprised if it opens early. It usually doesn’t.

Having said that, you never know - this time they’re not just shutting it to install the overlay, so maybe they’ll want to test it early. But I wouldn’t bet on it at all.

I’d be surprised if they soft open Tiana’s for regular guests; I think if it’s open early, it will be for specific groups as mentioned above.
