Small World closed?

Just got one of my many "DL update" emails, and one said the It's a Small World will be closed for a major refurb. Until Novemeber? That's almost a year! Anyone else heard this??
Just checking on calendar dates in April, and yes it still will be closed at the end of April, so perhaps these dates are correct.

Yes it is true. The local news here said it was so they could completely redo the water way since over the years repairs have added too much fiberglass to it and the boats are hanging up. It's a major remodel.

When I was on it yesterday I was just noticing how badly the water way needed a remodel. Also, despite the park not being crowded at all, the traffic jam of boats at the end was pretty bad.

Yes, it is about time for the refurbishment. Just think how many millions have been through it? The waterway and building is just tired. It will be interesting to see the results this November.
