I usually don't ask for your thoughts and prayers, but would appreciate it if you kept my grandparent's dog, Smokey in them.

Smokey is 16 years old. My mom got her for my grandparents (technically for my uncle, but my she is my grandparent's-long story) a few monthes before I was born, so she has been with me all my life. I am ALWAYS at my grandparent's house. There are times that I think I know Smokey better than I know my own dog. Anyways, Smokey is very sick. She has had 2 ceizures (I was by myself with her both times and had no clue what to do the 1st time since I couldnt get in contact with either of my grandparents at the time). She can't walk unless you support all of what little weight she has. She used to be fairly overweight because my grandfather always used to feed her toast and coffee every morning (she would get atleast half of his toast LOL.) Now she is pretty underweight. Honestly, she should have died like a year ago. It is a miracle she is still here. The past couple of days she hasn't been eating. My grandma basically force feeds her. Today, I tried to giver her a bit of icing from a cupcake and she wouldnt eat it. This is the same dog that couldn't wait for you to leave the room so she could steal whatever was on the table and eat it. I remember one time I was playing with play-dough and I left the room for 2 minutes. She jumped up on the table, stole it, and when I got back, there was not a trace of the play-dough. Today, she was yelping for every once in a while all afternoon. As much as I hate to say it, I honestly cannot see my Smokey being here this summer. Please keep her and my grandparents in your thoughts and prayers. They have always had dogs, but I think they will take losing Smokey the hardest out of all of the dogs. Smokey is definitly the most memorable. Every day, when my grandfather came home from work, she would run down to greet him. It was amazing that she never got hit by his truck because she would run into the driveway right where he parked. She would be glued to his side until the next day when he pulled out of the driveway to go to work the next morning. As I'm sure you can imagine, it will be especially tough on them. Sorry this is so long, but I can't really talk to anybody else about this.
