Small Cooler as Carry On?

Can we bring a small cooler packed with sandwiches and snacks and an ice pack as one of our carry ons? (Specifically on Southwest) Thanks!

IMO, the ice packs could be a problem. Aren't they frozen liquid?

Cooler and Food? Yes. Ice Paks? No.

Substitute a bag of frozen veggies or fruit for your ice pack and you're good to go.
