What are the chances of getting a contract for the Beach Club Villas through DVC? I am talking about 50-75 points. Is there a wait list or something, and do you avoid closing costs as TTS has? Anyone who has successfully done this? Thanks for any input.

I can tell you this much, I received my notice (as seller) that Disney ROFR'ed my 30 point BCV contract, which was going for $2,600 or about $86.67 per point.

Maybe they are in another of those buying moods.

If not, then you have to start with 150 points. There are no closing costs with Disney, but there may be a waitlist.

Yes, I already have 250 pts. BWV and 100 at SSR. I would like to add a small contract at BCV.

You should call your guide and ask about the BCV and if they dont have any points available then get on the waitlist. It sounds like DVC has been buying back BCV points.

My guide made it sound like BCV is sold out (but not any of the others). So I wonder if that means if you want BWV you don't have to wait on a list.

The DVC guides want to make commission of course ,and they may have to wait quite a while for a wait-list commission for BCV. They probably try to discourage anything that would have to be based on commission sometime in the future.

Since BCV is a small resort and not all that old, it possibly means there are fewer people trying to sell, thus fewer points received with ROFR back to Disney. I would get on a waitlist both at Disney AND at TTS.

Yes, there are currently BWV and VWL points in the system, depending on the month. My mom called a while back to get on the waitlist, and was surprised to find that the points were sitting in DVC's bank. My guide said DVC had some points for most months for all resorts but BCV.

BCV has substantial wait llists for all months. Someone reported that they recently got BCV points after waiting only 1 day, but I know others have been on the wait list for over a year. I have been on the waitlist for...probably a coulple of months, and my guide told me I am pretty far down on the list (Aug UY).

If you want the points, get on the list...and, just plan for a wait.

Thanks, I was just curious. Out of any of them, the one we'd most love to own at is BWV, but we're waiting until we pay off SSR before we do any add-ons! And even then, I think I'd rather see what is next for DVC, as I prefer the later expiration date since I'm in my 20s.
