Small but great DIS meet!

DH & I met perdidobay last Tues night. What a wonderful lady! We had a great visit. We meet her at Perdido Bay - imagine that! We talked for hours and had pizza and I bored her with lots of pix!!
We hope to see her again and meet her Dh next week at Epcot.

I wonder if this was the smallest DIS meet?

Alas Dan, no cameras were around! But I hope we get some pics when we meet at Epcot Wednesday night!
Perdido Bay is in the panhandle of Florida, just west of Pensacola.
And Poohstyx, bored me with pixs? Never!!!
And we could have talked for hours more if it haven't gotten so late!
Poohstyx and Cold Iron are the nicest people you would ever hope to meet.....and what a lucky grandchild they have!!!
I can't wait to see them again next Wednesday night

I know exactly what you mean about talking for hours. I just love getting together with my DIS friends. I'm so glad that the three of you got to meet, greet, and eat.

TC, you win for the smallest DIS meet. The meets may be small, but they can be great!
Great pix of your "meet". Wish I had thought of taking the camera. We could have gotten some great pix of the sunset over the beach, too.
DH & I both feel that we have known perdidobay forever. She is such a nice, friendly, comfortable person to be with. We could have talked for hours - oh! wait - we did!
We're looking forward to seeing her and meeting her DH next week.
We have met several DIS'ers in the parks at WDW before - thanks to the green ribbons! We'll have the ribbons on next week.

(Not really, but I'm glad that my wife managed to capture one of the most famous vehicles in DIS folklore)

BTW - Your DISmeet was smaller, since there are actually 3 people in my family that are registered on the board and all 3 were present last night and this morning. So officially there were 4 DISers present. You win!!!

I love meeting with DIS folks no matter what, when or how many!

Robin - you are right, we had more time to talk than we could have in a large group.
I hope to meet you one of these days. After all we have "known" each other for a long time and "talked" about our common link several times - long ago.
Robin, do you remember Sandee? DH & I met Sandee, her daughter and her DgrD last Dec. Small meet again - but great!

Pandy and I were discussing the whole DISmeet concept and how it is impossible to describe it to non-DISers. They don't understand how a complete stranger can turn out to be a great friend. I know what you mean about feeling as if you had known each other for a lifetime. Of course we all need to be careful in our dealings with "strangers" that we meet on the internet. It goes without saying, but I'm saying it anyway. But I have met some of the most wonderful people here on the DIS and know that I will continue to foster friendships here for a long time.

Do you want me to send you a green ribbon Poohstyx??? Because you know that I would.

Thanks TC - but, I'm set with the green ribbon - for now! I even took some ribbon to perdidobay! I have "Key Lime" green ribbon that glows in the dark!!
You are so right about meeting strangers. perdidobay & I had talked for a long time by phone and by IM before meeting. She & I both agreed, after meeting, that we could pretty well judge each other by the posts and by the phone calls.
I'm always looking for green ribbons in the parks. We were lucky enough to meet Cathy Canada, Webmaster Michelle, Cris C & Beth at the BW one year.

Now that DH & I have also met Sandee, you need to bring her with you. I remember telling you that I was going to meet her, but I don't think I gave you an update on our meet. It was amazing. I'll tell you all about it when I get the chance.
