I don't have one, though in the past I did think about getting a little shamrock above my ankle, but the thought of the needles and pain associated with it always steered me away. I doubt I'll ever do it now that I have kids.

I have a flower on my hip and a pretty big flower and tribal on my lower back, its very girly. I had originally had a shamrock on my back when I was 18 but it got boring and it wasn't that great so I had it covered with the flower and tribal, its much nicer now and you would never know it was once a shamrock. I want another one but I don't know what to get... :confused3

I have a very small one, on the inside of my left ankle. I got it on my honeymoon about three years ago.

I'm getting mine removed, but it got pushed to the back-burner.

This isn't a very good pic of it, but it's the only one I have. It's two small flowers, with some leaves.

I have two tattoos. Both of them are Mickey Mouse because I'm obsessed. However my next tattoo will be a hummingbird and I would also like to have the Mickey on my shoulder expanded on. It's only taken me 2 hours to figure out how to post pictures, so here they are:mickeytattoo1 is on my right shoulder and
mickeytattoo2 is on my left inside ankle

I have one, a butterfly on the outside of my right ankle.

I am thinking about getting another tattoo on the back of my shoulder.

I'm quite an anomoly. I have no tattoo's, and no inclination to ever get one. I would say that well over half of my friends have at least one. I have more than a few friends who have entire sleeves.

His mom wasn't real thrilled with these:

Slo, I meant to add that I've been kicking myself ever since I got my tattoo, for not getting a Maltese cross. For some strange reason, it never crossed my mind, although I wear a St. Florian around my neck every single day!

If I could do it all over again, I'd have a small one on the inside of my ankle. I don't think I'd feel so compelled to have it removed if I'd gotten that instead of the flowers. The cross would have very special meaning to me and anyone who looked down their nose at it, could stick it. ;)

ETA: Sheesh, I'm not the only one who's thought of it! Check these out! http://www.strikethebox.com/tattoo/maltese/index.htm

Just a tad too masculine for me!!!

I have one. Its on my lower right hip. Excuse the view of my tummy.

I have one on my lower back I got when I was 19 after getting out of a horrible relationship. It's a tribal art bird that's approx. 3 inches wide and 2 inches tall. I think it's pretty and reminds me never to forget who I am and that I'm always free. Free to make my own decisions and choices. To tell you the truth I don't even think about it anymore as I never see it. I would never get another one as I think it starts getting gross when you have a few tattoos (especially on girls, in my opinion). My boyfriend is indifferent to it as he doesn't like tattoos but thinks mine is pretty and isn't large, but would probably like it if I had never gotten one. Tattoos were cooler when I was younger but I really could care less about mine and don't try to show it off whenever I can. I'm just glad it means something to me! :goodvibes

I have 3

The first one I got is a rose on my right ankle
The 2nd and 3rd I got the same day---
2nd--heart and banner on my left ankle with DH's initials
3rd--Old english letters on the base of my back that are M A C---they are the first letters of my first 3 kids names

I would like to add DD4 somewhere but I am not a fan of putting tattoos in plain site and I would hate to have to remove some item of clothing to show where the tatoo is!

I don't have one. I would like to someday, but I'm a big chicken. :teeth:

I have 3. When I was 21 I got a precious moments angel sitting on a cloud on my right hip. When I turned 30 I got 3 butterflies (one pink for DD and one blue for DS) on my lower back. I'd love to get a small mickey design, but I don't know where to get it.

I chose to put my tattoos in places that I could hide them with clothes...and when I get all dressed up they don't show. That doesn't leave me many other spots for more.

I don't sport any ink, nor does DH. However, I appreciate the artistry! I have seen some beautiful tattoos ... and some terrible ones (my niece's). But, I do love to look at them!

I have four. My first is a baby tiger on the front of my L thigh. I actually had to have this one done 3 times. The first time it faded right away, the needle was too shallow, so I had the color redone. Several years later, I had a little bit of scenery added on. I think I liked it better before. Oh well.

The next is a chinese dragon on my R calf. It has no special meaning to me, other than I admire the artwork. It is holding a ball and it was explained to me that this is called the "pearl of wisdom". I like that.

On my lower back I have a black & white design of 2 lizards in a yin-yang - sort of a "circle of life" type thing. I drew this one myself & am quite proud of it. However, the artist put the needle a little too deep & it scarred. It still looks fine but it feels all bumpy & smooth like a burn scar - gross. Not good on dates. Had the white redone on this one but I am too pale & it didn't stay.

The last one is an abstract butterfly on the back of my neck. I love this one. I got it when my 1st DD was little because she loves butterflies.

I sometimes feel like I need to get something for DD#2, but I am not really thrilled with the shape my body has decided to take lately so I can't think of anywhere to put it, and I need to wait until she's a little older and find out what she really loves.

Sorry no photos - I'm at work & it would be a tad weird for me to be photographing my body parts.

I have 3. Each is in my back/shoulder area, where nobody can see unless I show them (I didn't want to get obvious ones, just in case of future regret!) Those of you who want one but haven't because you're afraid of pain- don't worry. It isn't that painful- it feels a bit like hot cat scratches, and that kind of 'numbs' very quickly. You get a nice adrenaline rush afterwards :)

If anyone's interested, mine are:
- A red star on the back of my left shoulder, for my favorite band of all time (The Clash). I was going to get Know Your Rights written around it, but never got around to that. This was my first tat.
- a little heart with lightning-bolt wings on my extreme lower back (bluntly: right above my cr...) The fella put this much lower than I wanted :( It didn't show even in the lowest rise jeans possible, so, one month later I got:
- a big ol' lightning bolt along my spine, the lower half of my back. They made this one much bigger than I intended, but I sure didn't complain, as I was probably undercharged for it! Can anyone guess what I'm a big fan of, to have multiple lightning tats? *hums Harry Potter theme* Coolest thing is, I got these long before the first HP movie came out. And my big bolt looks exactly like his forehead scar in the movies :teeth:

Do you ever watch Miami Ink? Whoo - they had a guy who came in to have a tattoo of his daughter on his chest. His daughter has Tay-Sachs disease and they don't know how long she will live. She is a beautiful little girl and the tattoo artist "copied" a pic of her sleeping and tattooed it on his chest near his shoulder where a child would lay their head if they were sleeping on you. Melted my heart...

I would get a tattoo if it had meaning like his will for the rest of his life...
