2 C-sections

I had all 4 Wisdom teeth pulled when I was 21yo....I don't really consider that major surgery though.

I answered other - I have had at least 30, lots of stuff wrong when I was born. And of course all the lucky DISers have read about the doctor who almost killed me once. I am still here dising!!

I never thought that I've had many surgeries but I've had a few.

wisdom teeth
2 knee (right and left)
carpal tunnel (right wrist)

I hope that's it from now on.

I had several surgeries when I was a baby and small child. I was born with a cleft lip and palate. So they needed to correct those as best they could over a few years.

Then in 2001 I had a 14lbs ovarian cyst removed along with the ovary. No surgeries since then.

4 surgeries altogether...

First was the exploratory surgery when we were trying to conceive.

Second, third and fourth surgeries were C-sections.

I haven't had surgery yet. Looking that it may happen in the next two to three months because I have a cyst between my ribs and skin, as soon as I meet with surgeon and have it inspected.

I am suppose to have my shoulder replaced in the summer, but I am still thinking about it and not ready to have it done yet.

I voted no surgeries, but I forgot about my LASIK last year, so I guess one. Oh, I just read the previous post and I had wisdom teeth out too, and gum grafts so that would be three minor I guess.

My kids have each had two surgeries, both at less than two years old.

I've also had my wisdom teeth removed, but I didn't count that.

Skin Biopsy - Minor
Tubal Ligation - Major

2 minors - only local anesthetic was used, 1 major - put under general anesthestic. Will probably need back surgery at some point for a ruptured disc in my lower back.

I have had 3 surgeries in my life that required general anesthesia:

2 minor surgeries (laparoscopy, tonsillectomy)
1 major surgery (c-section)

I also had 3 procedures done under light sedation but not anesthesia (2 D&Cs, wisdom teeth removal), so I don't know if they count as surgery or not.
