Ok, I just got back and I will never go this time of year again. 2 hour waits. When is the slowest and cheapest time to go? Does it ma6tter if you arrive mid week or on weekend? I want to stay in park next time.....no doubt about it.

First week of December. Low crowds and you get to see the Christmas decorations! :) Best time to go IMO.

I have gone in September and only had to use 1 Fast Pass because I didn't feel like waiting 30 mins in line. That was the longest wait. Everything else we practically walked on.

We're going next week and I am worried abotu the crowds. We've been so spoiled.

We just went this past December 5th-16th and had the place pretty much to ourselves!!! All rides had no wait to 5 minutes and many many rides we just stayed on and went again and again. Really dead!
It was the best, would find it very hard to go any other time of year!!
We also went to US/IOA and that was even deader (is that a word?)
It was so great.

We've gone in the middle of September 2 years in a row and the crowds are so light. We walked on to Buzz Lightyear (one of DD's favorites) 5 times in a row. It's just wonderful.

Another vote for September!!! We were there first week after Labor Day 2001 and there were NO lines and it was warm enough (well, ok, HOT) to go on all the water rides. We also went in January this past year and although it was great for crowds (NONE!!) it was AWFUL for weather! I don't like wearing sweatshirts, earmuffs, and gloves in Florida. No water rides at all--even too cold to go on Splash Mountain :sad1:

I've never been in December, but would LOVE to see the Christmas decorations!!!

Basically, the best times to go are when kids are in school. We went during the "Spring Break season" one year and swore we would NEVER go again during that time.

During the school year, the only times to watch out for are 3-4 day weekends. These really fill up the parks. But, during the week it is very quiet.

Unfortunately, as kids get older it is harder and harder to take them out of school, even for a few days. So, we are stuck with the crowds for a few years. We go in the summer and on those long weekends I mentioned earlier. Even a crowded day at Disney is better than no time at Disney!! :earsgirl:
