Do you Shake n Bake your chicken or pork?
If yes…..what do you buy and use?
(multiple choice)


For Me….I mostly use the original chicken & original pork.
I have used pretzel and extra crispy in the past, but the family prefers the original.
I’m making pork chops with Shake n Bake for dinner tonight, which is what inspired this poll.
 

I don't use any......I would rather make my own coatings with herbs, marinates, etc.
Too many carbs. I don't use bread crumb coatings or anything like that
 
My mother made have Shake'n'Bake a couple of times for us (back in the '80s) and I remember the commercials. I honestly didn't realize they still made it. It's not anything I ever think to buy.
I had no idea it was still a thing! My mom used it and I didn’t like it, but my mom wasn’t the best cook anyway (Irish, her mom was even a worse cook). I like to soups vide my pork chops and then sear them off before serving.
 
I use it when I have pork and then will pick up one for chicken - didn’t know they had so many flavors - it’s been long time since I had pork as I can’t find good pork here - long story I won’t bother - good to know as I will grab some for my chicken - excited to try something new !! Thanks SLO
 
::yes:: Yep - I use it, and like lots of things, the versions available here are a little different than the ones in the States. The ones I buy are Chicken Original and Pork Original and a BBQ Glaze one that finishes more like a sauce than a crispy coating. My favourite one is Crispy Italian that I use to make a quick version of chicken parm without frying.
 
I voted none. Every once in a while I'll make something like fried chicken cutlets or fried fish. When I do that, I use a combo of regular dried bread crumbs and panko with my own seasonings. Sometimes with the chicken I'll also sprinkle a bit of Everything Bagel seasoning into the crumb mix.

I didn't even know they still made that stuff.
 
I haven’t used in a very long time. I don’t really eat the chicken skin and don’t even know what the salt content is.
