slo’s WEDNESDAY poll - Jelly Beans

I put on Easter only. We always are at my mom’s house and she buys black licorice jelly beans. That’s the only time I’ll eat them. Not visiting her this Easter so no jelly beans for me as I’m not buying them.

Jelly Belly's are top of the line of course, but Starburst Jelly Beans are pretty good too for a more budget friendly option. Jelly Belly's also have a few flavors I dislike, like coffee, so I have to be careful. I know the kind you are talking about, and yeah they are bad.

I got a bag of Jelly Belly beans this year called the Kids Mix. It didn’t have coffee or those awful juicy pear ones I can’t stand. I like Jelly Belly beans and will eat them intermittently through the year. My favorite flavor is buttered popcorn.

Love them. Hubby bought two bags about 2 weeks ago and they are already gone. Sigh, I guess I'm going to have to go the store and get some more. I don't like any of the weird kinds, just good old fashioned jelly beans.

I love the Buttered Popcorn ones! I would sometimes get them from a machine at the movies, but in the dark, you can't tell the coffee ones form other brown ones and I'd inevetiblay eat one. I liekd that machine because it was actually a good value for Jelly Bellies - you got a pretty good amount for 25 cents. I would bring a little cup and get a couple of pulls.

I feel your pain. For me, it was thinking I was getting a refreshing lemon lime only to find it was a disgusting pear. I like going to stores where the flavors are separate so I can just get the popcorn beans. The old candy and ice cream shop at BWV/BWI used to have them, and I would get a bag of popcorn beans to snack on during the trip.

I eat them sometimes, but not a huge fan. I definitely associate them with Easter because that’s the only time I had them as a child. Back then, I don’t think you could even get them in stores the rest of the year.

My favorite kind is Brach’s spiced jelly beans. I like the spicy ones much better than regular fruit flavors or some of the weird JellyBellies. Also love the black.

I don’t like them as much as I used to. I got a big box Jelly Belly assortment, one where each taste is segregated and labeled, and I still have many left. It was a Valentine’s Day present.

You can have all the black licorice ones. Black licorice and kale are two things I don't like.

I'll eat them if they're around, but I very rarely buy any. Usually Jelly Belly or Starburst.

You are aware that Producer's Dairy the past couple of years has brought back Egg Nog for Easter, marketing it as Easter Egg Nog?

I buy the Starburst jelly beans.

Those are my favorite as well! And if you'd asked last year, I would have voted that I eat them the whole Easter season. But DH had to drastically cut down on his sugar just recently, so I haven't put any out this year.

Those are my least favorite of the Jelly Belly ones! I do like the fruity ones, though.

As for the larger type ones, I'll eat them if someone else buys them, but I really only love the orange.

I eat them once in a while, and only at Easter. Except for Jelly Belly, you don't find them around here at other times of the year. I do like the pink Jelly Belly ones. Black licorice makes me gag, literally. The taste reminds me of cough medicine, the liquid kind, which I have never been able to tolerate.

I don’t mind them, but if I am going to candy, it’s going to be way better than jelly beans.
