What’s your opinion of Chili Cheese Dogs?
(multiple choice)

For Me......I like them a lot, but only when I make them at home.
I don’t like them from eateries because they are to messy for me.
(I just made them last night which made me think to do this poll)

Not sure if I've had any. Have nothing against them. I never order them, don't think Marie has made any over the years. We've probably had hot dogs and sides of chili over the years. A Portillo's beef is messy enough, haha.

Do not eat hot dogs due to health concerns. If I did, no chili dogs, mustard and/or ketchup only.

Love them if it's Cincinnati chili (Skyline, Gold Star, etc.).

In my experience, you either really like Cincinnati chili or you really don't.
As someone from Cincinnati, I agree completely. My order a small 3 way and one coney with mustard. and a mountain dew. only time I ever drink mountain dew. Of course I know lives thousands of miles from one.

Love 'em, but hardly ever have them. I only eat them at home where I can eat at the table with a knife & fork (and lots of napkins.)

I can't say that I have an opinion. It's probably been 25 years since I've had one. I'm not really a hot dog fan. Any kind of hot dog is usually a once a year at the ballpark thing for me.

And a chili cheese dog at this point in my life is most likely a recipe for the Pepto Bismal dance...

Just okay. I'd eat one if I was hungry, but I like chili in a bowl more. On a hot dog I like mustard and pickle relish...or (don't shudder too much) ketchup and Velveeta.

That's pretty much my go-to order, too, except I drink a Diet Mountain Dew.

(Sounds weird to order that and have a diet drink with it, I know, but sugared soft drinks give me indigestion for some reason.)

I only make them at home. Don't eat a bun, so I usually adapt them and make chili and put the dogs in, usually Kielbasa but sometimes plain.

I do love a good chili dog (mostly the Cincinnati Chili style). Growing up in the Northwest Ohio (Toledo Area) I am accustomed to the Cincinnati chili style (or as I like to call it Coney sauce). I am not to big a fan of the other chili style on my hot dogs (not sure what it is called maybe Texas). It is the kind that has the big hunks of ground beef, beans, onions and peppers in it.

It’s a hard NO for me but once in a blue moon I will heat up a can of chilli and grate some cheese for DH & DS if we’re bbq’ing hot dogs. They like them fine but I can’t remember either of them ever ordering one when we’re out somewhere to eat.

I’m 58 years old and have never had a chili cheese dog. Not that they sound bad, but I’ve just never had the desire to eat one.

I like chili dogs but no cheese or mustard, just the chili.
