I love ResortTV1! I watch that while doing chores around the house or if I actually intend to relax on the couch, it's on in the background. We watch a lot of Disney YouTube shows. Don't have too much time to watch in general.
You should come join us in the chat. I’m easy to find - same name as here. I mainly only participate on Friday nights, but sometimes I may pop in on other streams :thumbsup2

I rarely ever watch tv at night. I DVR whatever I want to watch and usually watch it in the afternoon. My husband watches the tv in the evening and I absolutely hate pretty much everything he watches. I grab my tablet and headphones and watch YouTube vlogs.

Well the tube goes on when I get home. I live alone so it is partly for companionship. I generally watch news until 6 and then move over to entertainment. I like detective shows and things like Mysteries at the Museum. History, Travel and Discovery are some of my usual channels.
Do you find you watch in cycles? We have found for several months watch say fix it shows , then nothing. History of America, then nothing etc.

And we hardly "only" watch tv. Fold laundry, make shopping lists, read up on the dis.

We have 3 tvs - I don't share mine lol.
I turn my on just after supper during the fall/winter if I'm home. Usually in the spring/summer when it's nice out I'm outside after supper for a bit and maybe turn it on closer to bedtime.

I do watch a lot of tv

If I am home the TV is usually on. Whether I am sitting down to watch a TV show or movie or if I have YouTube playing music videos. I am a TV junkie.

It varies.

We usually go to our parents' house in the evening and they have the news on, then lately Modern Family re-runs from 7-8 (For a while it was Family Feud followed by Rick Steves Europe, but we've seen all the Rick Steves episodes so many times at this point). Then we go home. Most nights during the week we don't even turn on the tv at home. For some of the Disney+ stuff we'll watch it on release day if we're worried about spoilers.
Friday and sometimes Saturday nights are for catching up on shows.

The TV is on a lot here, but it’s more as a background noise. Really sitting down and watching TV depends on many factors. I DVR everything (except live sports) so I can skip commercials. Sometimes it’ll be the same night I watch, other a week. Depends on my mood. But, as I said before the TV is still on but not sole focus.

I love Tranquil Tuesdays but I don't catch that one live. I'll look for you on Fridays!

We don’t have kids it is just DH and I. Once off of work after a walk we are usually watching tv. I like a variety of things from game shows on GSN and regular networks to all different types of shows on the regular networks to Food Network to sports mostly MLB, NFL plus college football and some hockey. And also on streaming Disney+.

Great question dear Slo:hug:

Dad and I have come to enjoy watching 📺together each night usually a DVR-ed Price is Right, sometimes HGTV or a Hallmark movie between 8-9pm or so. Quieter time we are so blessed to share as we relax together.

My DH turns the TV in the living room on the second he walks into the house after work and turns it off when he goes to bed. I will watch our NFL team if they are playing and we have a few shows we watch together with him, otherwise I am usually doing other things. I watch what I like on my bedroom TV when my other chores are done for the evening—except laundry—I fold laundry on my bed while watching TV. I’d say I’m generally in there by 9 or 10 unless we are out in the evening. It’s high school volleyball season right now so a few nights a week I’m not even home until 10 or so. Then I still have things to do.

Same for me.
The Friday chat starts earlier than the stream - I go on that while I’m at work and then the stream starts when I’m leaving work. By the time I get home, make dinner and clean up after dinner, I don’t get to start watching that until it’s a few hours into it. I then watch to the end :thumbsup2

The tv is usually on from the time my husband gets home(before me) until he falls asleep...I'm not necessarily watching it, but it's on. The only time I really focus is if it's something I personally chose to watch

I do not watch TV every night. We do like to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune if we are home, then I give DH the remote and he chooses what to watch. Then I will either watch with him, or play Hay Day or surf FB or the Disboards. Or I’ll go to bed early to read or watch a movie. We do watch Survivor and Amazing Race when they are on, and I watch Big Brother.
Sometimes watch cooking shows like Chopped, Masterchef etc. too but that’s about it.

I used to watch tv every night, from 6-10 PM, sometimes later. But over the last five years I have been slowly drifting away from it. For a couple of years it got down to basically just Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Over this past summer when the reruns were on, even those are now off my radar.

The only consistent time I still have the tv on is as background noise during evening meal prep, some span of time in the 4:30-6 PM range. I do try and look ahead when I turn it on then to see if TCM has any movie listed that I might want to see later that night. I got sucked into watching Psycho that way the other week!

Do you have a time that you settle down at night to watch TV? Or is every night different?
If you have a normal average time….what is that time?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..It’s not the same every day, but I do have a schedule.
Monday - Thursday it’s always around 8:30pm
Friday it’s about 7:00pm (Friday Night Live with ResortTV1)
Saturday it’s about 7:30pm
Sunday it’s about 6:00pm

I know it isn't a great habit but since we are down to one kid we watch tv while we eat dinner. It keeps the peace.
