Do you own the game Monopoly?
If yes….How many?
Is your game(s) an original type game, or a themed game?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I have 4 Monopoly games, which is less than it once was - I sold some at a garage sale and gave some to a thrift store. The ones I currently have are shown in the picture below…..
*Disney Edition
*Pirates of the Caribbean Collector’s Edition
*60th Anniversary Edition
*An old original game that is my mom’s (not shown) - the houses and pawns are wood. She’s told me how old it is, but I don’t remember. We never use it - I just keep it in the box. Monopoly is now 88 years old and my mom is 76, so if she got this game when she was 10ish, this game is around 65 years old now.

I used to have the original and DDs had NHL-opoly.

In my travels I see various localized versions, such as Waycross (Georgia) or Rehoboth Beach-opoly. Usually at Walmart.

We have at least 6. (The Scooby Doo version is on a different shelf than this photo, and DS might have another plain one packed away in a bin with college stuff.)

As kids I don’t think we ever played by the official rules. We’d make stuff up. You can buy a hotel outright without buying houses first. When we got bored whoever had the most assets, cash and property, was the winner.

Even as adults we’d vary the rules based on our whims that day.

Lots of Monopoly playing as a kid with my brother. I do not think we have a Monopoly game now. Always was fun. I think my brother, 3 years older, generally won.

I had to check the game closet. There are three: regular edition, a Waddington's British edition (from DH's military days), and the newest is an America edition. I know there's a couple of monopoly games on my game shelf at school. One of those is an Internet edition.

We grew up playing my dad’s original version from the 30’s. The box was long gone even then and all pieces are in a tin container. The tokens are metal (pewter maybe?) except for a wooden ship he carved as a kid when the original piece was lost. The houses and hotels are wooden. I have a version from the late 80’s that I took to college.

I played a lot as a child, but haven’t played in a very long time. I have the DVC version that was a gift on a DVC Member Cruise.

Played a lot as a child, almost every Saturday with my father while my mother was at work.
We still have that game and one other original that we have mixed together.
Also a Disney version.
We just sold a Junior version in a garage sale. DGS doesn't want to play Junior anything anymore. He is a whiz at games and wins a lot of them.
DD has one at her house that is a college version from her school.

We own a Monopoly game but no one will play. :( So I have a Monopoly game on my phone I play occasionally.

I have an original game, a Star Wars board, a 2008 World Series board and a Disney board. The Disney board has gone on several trips with us and we get the board signed by the characters. Think I have about 20-25 signatures on it.

I am totally in love with this and I’m going to copy cat it for our next trip (I gotta pull the trigger and book it - NYE 2024). Thank you for posting this 🙂

I enjoy Monopoly, especially with house rules. I tend to like the classic, though I do have a couple of special ones.
