Do you have any artistic ability?
On a scale of 0 - 6, with 6, being very artistic, how would you rate yourself?
(multiple choice)

Please post a picture(s) of your artistic ability - it could be actual art (like watercolors, pastels and etc), ceramics, crafts, needlework, computer designs, interior decorating and so much more.

For Me…..I’ll give myself a 2 because I do need some artistic ability to be a professional picture framer for 25 years - I was very good at my job. I know that sounds very bragging like, but I was. Sometimes I really miss it, but not enough to leave the job I have now to do it again. Below are a few pictures from my stores Facebook page. The first picture is the design area of my store and the other two pictures are a few frame jobs I did.

Very nice work, Sandy. And yes, that's artistic.

For me, none. I still draw stick people and a house in a scene is 4 lines for walls, 2 lines for a roof, a squiggle line for smoke coming out of the chimney. A few lines for a tree, a puffy cloud in the sky and curved V's for birds in the sky.

On the other hand, Natalie is very artistic and her two boys, Jeremy and Christopher, have inherited that trait from mom. I enjoy looking at their work.

Nice work, slo!

Art is subjective, but I consider myself to be artistic (not to brag!). I'm a videographer and editor by trade. I'm not one to paint a landscape or sketch a portrait, but I like to create things that could be considered "art" (a tree house, 3D prints, wood carvings, furniture, digital designs).

Heading out on our first cruise ever next week on the Wish and made this door magnet out of foam and kids clay.

This describes my artistic ability. I still draw the same kind of house that I did when I was a kid. I have done crafts, including lots of quilts, but usually copied whatever someone else had done. :)

I'm definitely not a professional, but I'm pretty crafty and I enjoy photography and art.

I don't have much stored on the computer I'm using right now, but here are a couple of Disney drawings and a few photos that I've posted on the DIS before:

If you are a 2, slo, I have to say, 1. I am mathematically inclined. I enjoy going to the sketching character classes that they have on ships and in parks. I admit part of it is getting a free souvenir that’s dated. I put these in a folder. My family give theirs to me, and I do enjoy looking at them. I love doing it because the presenter reminds us that the work is your interpretation of the character!

Here‘s one from January

Update......

I changed my vote from no ability to yes, with a 2. Based on Rob's thoughts (very nice work, Rob) above, I realized I have some artistic photography ability. I enjoy photo composition, lighting, framing (not @slo type framing, but rather subject framing).

I guess there are all kinds of art.

Not with visual arts but I am pretty good with words. Everyone in the house writes well but if someone is stumped all I need is a conversation about what they want to say and the vibe behind it and I can wordsmith whatever is requested very quickly. I am also a decent editor and can pull out mismatched words based on subtle intent, different words vibe differently in sound and meaning so choosing the appropriate words is very important.

I don't use much punctuation here or when texting, I was told long ago by a creative writing teacher that it leaves people cold if writing is too technical & agree that conversational writing is to be conversational.

Well if doodling counts I’m off the charts otherwise I’ll stick with my two as I only dabble in other things - I believe we all in my age group learned to draw a house the same 🤣🤣 as I do the exact same thing
But I sit and doodle almost nonstop through work meetings or on phone calls at work or home - made one of my managers mad as she thought I wasn’t paying attention until I answered everything while I kept right on doodling ( which made her even madder 🤣🤣)

I have always considered myself to be creative, not artistic. I write, I make a lot of my own clothes and Halloween costumes, I am into photography, play the piano some and I enjoy crafting.

So if we are talking more artistic things, like drawing, painting, sculpture, I am probably a 2. If we can include the areas I mentioned above, I would say a 4.5 or so.
