It is totally my thing, but I've never done it. I am particular though and I have concerns.

It's cute when people do antlers and a Rudolph nose or a bunch of holiday magnets, but I'm a lights person. I really love the Jeeps that do a wreath in the spare tire, but I don't have a Jeep. If I'm going to do this, it's going to involve lights. Here's the dilemma and why I haven't done it YET.

1. The easiest lights for a vehicle are battery operated. My roof rack would be the easiest thing to wrap in lights. I see a lot of really neat things around where people have lit up the entire vehicle, but I'd be too afraid of damaging the paint.
- Unfortunately, as I've found with most battery operated lights, they lose their juice pretty quickly. I do not want to spend the entire month of December replacing batteries.
2. The next option is USB operated.
- This is a pain because the only easy way I know to do this is use an internal USB port. Which means having the cord go out the window.
> My issues with this are that a. a tightly closed window may damage the cord. b. A chunkier cord can damage the window seal. c. A big lighting pet peeve of mine is lights not being exactly in place. In other words, the lights start before the area on which you're trying to display them. I've been known to add extra extension cords on my outside display just to keep it looking clean.
You can just get a reeeeeeeeeeeeally long extension cord. ;)

It makes me smile when I see a vehicle decorated for Christmas, but I have no desire decorate my own.

I think car decorations are fun, but I have never decorated my car and i kind of doubt that I ever will.

My nephew's girlfriend drives a Jeep Wrangler and she makes her spare tire into a wreath (actually, she decorates it for almost every holiday). And that's pretty fun.

I don't mind seeing cars decorated

I only have a Christmas antenna topper on mine....Mickey of course

I don't decorate my car (nor my house for that matter), but I don't mind it as long as it's not too obtrusive. I don't like lights that could be distracting and such, but something low-key is fine.

Both DW and I have Rudolph antlers and red noses for our cars. We used to have magnets that looked like large C-9 Christmas light bulbs that went along the sides of the cars. DW also had an inflatable passenger seat Reindeer Buddy that plugged into the “cigarette lighter” outlet.

I saw a VW vehicle the other day that caught my attention. It just had a wreath on the front grille, around the VW symbol. But the symbol apparently lights up, so it kind of cast a glow on the wreath too.

Never care to decorate my own vehicle but will sometimes see others on the road with a few decorations, mostly antlers or wreaths. Sometimes see a wreath on the front of the grill and wonder if the car might overheat when the airflow is partially blocked. I think anything that involves lights would probably work best wired into your car electrical system, so they shut off when you turn off the car. Can't recall ever seeing any. Would also need to know your state laws since I know that driving with your emergency flashers while the car is moving is illegal. Some states also have laws that make it illegal to copy police/official vehicles look.

A friend got me the snowman car buddy last year. He drove around with me all winter and until the cigarette plug broke 🙁 I called him Mr Franklin.

I have seen more and more cars covered in lights. I am very curious as to how they attach the lights? I can't think of any way that wouldn't wreck their paint job. And these are nice cars that I see decked out like this. Does anyone know?

I like seeing the decorations other people come up with for their cars. However, I do NOT decorate my own, nor do I ever plan to do so.

I have seen some vehicles decked out with Christmas lights.... however, I did hear that it's illegal in this and many other states.

It's not my thing - I don't have any problem with others doing it.

Something I've started seeing more this season is cars (and trucks) that are completely covered in Christmas lights (see below). Aside from seeming like it would be a pain to do (and how would you be able to keep your car clean?), it seems dangerous too.

This past weekend I saw a car almost as overdone as this one. It was more distracting that cheerful.

I have reindeer antlers and a red nose but I haven’t put them on my car yet. Maybe this weekend.

DD has the inflatable car buddy. I think hers is an elf.

I found Yukon Cornelius at a rummage sale...he sits on the passenger seat with his pick...a lot of thumbs 👍 👍 at signal 🚦 🚦
