Wow ...I feel like I'm back in the "Galentine's" thread again 😂. I'm more shocked about so many not having a Smart Watch than not hearing of "Galentine's"! I have a Smart Watch and use it for everything ...I originally got one when they first came out and realized how useful it could be -and just never went back. All of my credit cards are on it so there is no need to handle physical cards, it monitors my activity, sleep pattern, heart rate/rhythm, ECG, Cardio Fitness, and blood oxygen. Soon enough, people will be able to communicate their health status directly to their physician for monitoring. Also, if I'm at Disney -my Pass is stored on there as well as my Disney Gift Card, and DVC card for discounts ...no fumbling with cards, all in one place on my wrist.

I have a Fitbit Sense that I've had for about two years now. I've been wearing a Fitbit for about 10 years and will probably keep it up. I really like the sleep tracking, only having to charge every few days and getting my blood sugar level warnings on my wrist. My FIL just got a Samsung watch, so I'm probably going to end up with one of those for my birthday this year. Would consider an Apple Watch if it would work with Android phones, you couldn't pay me enough to use an Apple phone.

I have one, an older version. I like that it can be a back up phone when I'm out walking and receive a call. I also like it for the step counts and heart points it keeps track of.
I'll update to a newer one this year.

My Garmin running watch is considered a smart watch. I had considered Apple when I bought it, but many consider Garmin superior if you're using it for pace monitoring. I tried using it for more than just the fitness uses, and I did enjoy playing with all of the fun face options, but I didn't enjoy the features that tethered to my phone. I just didn't need my wrist buzzing all the time. I tried sleeping in it to get the other monitoring benefits, but I absolutely loathe sleeping with anything on my wrist and usually threw it on the floor in the middle of the night. I recently considered an Apple Watch since there were some great Black Friday deals and so many love theirs, but I still can't see myself using it. I used to wear a more traditional watch all the time and I have several really nice ones, but I rarely wear them these days.

No, I don’t have one and don’t care to have one. Aside from being unnecessary, I have very thin wrists and think it would look and feel too bulky and uncomfortable.

Considering many of the Americans on here still write cheques....I'm not surprised lol.

As many others have said, I wouldn't be able to read the texts so I have no interest. I never really liked a watch and prefer to use my phone for time and everything health-related. I always have my phone on me.

My husband has one and literally never uses it. I have no desire for one, I’m not big on things being around my wrist, I don’t like the feel. Only magic bands and that’s because it’s just easier to use than my phone or card, and by the end of the day wearing one of them I can’t wait to take it off.

Fitness Tracker (FitBit Sense 2), which I guess could be called a smart watch -- more a step tracker for me. I liked it while it was under FitBit. Not thrilled with the changes they've made since switching to Google (community forums are gone, for example). I do like the sleep information it gathers and analyzes.

I may look into the Apple watch when this dies, though.

I wear mine every day. I got my Apple Watch a little over a year ago and I love it more than I ever thought I would. It was included as part of a black Friday sale at Verizon when I bought my current phone. Otherwise, I probably would not have gotten one.

I have a Samsung and find it useful for texts and to see who is calling. Don't really use it for much else.

Since I always have my phone on mute and did not always feel when it vibrated I now can see all messages and calls and choose to ignore them without pulling out my phone.

Having the weather on it is also useful - but only slightly.

When I travel to Europe its useful for using tap and go, but I don't find myself using it here all that much - half the readers never seem to want to work.

I use a Fitbit Charge 6. Have had previous Fitbits, most recently a Charge 3. I use it for time, steps and sleep monitoring. With my heart issues, also pulse, EKG and afib monitoring. It Bluetooths to my Samsung phone and lets me know who is calling, shows texts. It does not act as a phone. It has Google Maps, I don't use that. I like that I only have to charge about every 8-9 days.

Like Dan , I have a fitbit. A charge 5. I use it mostly as a watch and steps. I think it will show texts but if it did, I don't know how to use it.

I love my Apple Watch. Didn’t want it but my kids got it for me for Christmas a few years ago. I’m not good with technology either…lol

They found I missed a lot of their calls and texts while out, didn’t hear phone in my purse. Now it vibrates on my wrist and don’t miss anything, plus it tracks my steps and heart etc. I go for walks everyday.

You can change the font size on it to see better.

The don‘t have data unless my phone is somewhere in the house, purse or car but will pick up what I miss when I come back but still counts my fitness ring while out.

I always wore a watch , miss my fancy ones . Husband got me a metal band and face cover for Christmas after I saw a CM had them on my last cruise asked where he got them…Amazon of course.

I don't have one, but I won't say I'll never get one. Right now, my iPhone is "gadget-y" enough for me, but if I ever develop health issues that would make it especially practical to have, I would consider it.
