For the longest time we only had a manual however when our left handed son who also had some dexterity problems took an interest in helping in the kitchen, we bought an electric one. Now that he’s moved out, once it dies we will go back to a manual. We really only use it to open cans of pumpkin for the dogs.

Both. Used to use the manual exclusively, but my hands and wrist are getting worse so I am sometimes having trouble with it. I don't use a ton of canned stuff but I do make tuna fish and I often use canned beans for tacos and chili, but fortunately a lot of those have pop tab tops now.
