I LOVE shrimp, one of my top 5 foods. Popcorn shrimp are just ok. We've made it at home a very few times, and every once in a while I'll order it out (I actually rarely order shrimp when eating out, it's usually rubbery, not done right.)
I miss living in So. Louisiana and always having freezers full of shrimp we'd bought locally and put up.....

I like shrimp but I eat the full size shrimp. Popcorn shrimp doesn't have much appeal to me.

I checked ”Other” because I just don’t like shrimp at all, in any form. I’ve tried to like it over the years, but no…. :crazy2:

I like popcorn shrimp, but I only eat it out. I like it with cocktail and OLD BAY dumped all over it. Got to have it with fries and cole slaw too. Though I prefer larger fried shrimp.

And if I have a choice, I like a "fisherman's platter" kind of meal with the fried shrimp, fried fish, fried clams and fried scallops too. Or even better, grilled shrimp or steamed spiced shrimp.

I’ll eat it, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it. We usually have them if they’re on a sampler or mixed seafood platter at a restaurant. I can eat them plain or with cocktail sauce (prefer that for peel and eat), but remoulade with some Crystal for added heat would be ideal for dipping.

I'll eat shrimp anyway made. I LOVE it! But 99% of the time I eat it un-breaded.
My husband loves it too and we almost always have some in our freezer. I prepare it 3 or 4 different ways. The only time it's eaten cold, as an appetizer is when we buy the ring of shrimp at Costcp.
'As a kid, I used ketchup, now I like zesty cocktail sauce.

It's okay if I see it at a fast food restaurant. I can't remember the last time I've eaten them -- might have been when our Taco Bell was combined with a Long John Silver's.

I'm not a huge fan but will eat it if hubby has ordered it and insists I eat one. I don't order it myself when we are out and don't eat it at home on the rare occasions he cooks it for himself. If I do eat it, it's with cocktail sauce. To be fair, I don't eat very much fried food and don't eat regular fried shrimp. I will eat boiled shrimp every once in a while if it has already been peeled.

Spoken like a true Marylander!

What is the obsession with old bay in Maryland? It’s good, I do like it, but they go nuts there…
It's just a good seasoning for seafood in general. Specifically used in the pot when steaming blue crabs which are a MD/VA/DC- Chesapeake Bay thing.
Only thing I miss since moving to Florida.

I like fried shrimp / popcorn shrimp. I dip them in tarter sauce or cocktail sauce. Usually I alternate between those. Or have them on a shrimp sandwich with slaw. The fries dip into the tarter sauce too. We don't ever really make fried seafood at home though, it's generally grilled, baked, or sauteed. The only exception is if we've gotten a bunch of oysters to steam and there are leftovers - those get fried the next day.

I pretty much love any kind of shrimp, so yes to popcorn shrimp! I've mostly had it out, but made the boxed kind in the air fryer a few times.

I usually dip fried shrimp in cocktail sauce, but if I'm sautéing at home, bring on the Old Bay!

I love shrimp, I love fried seafood. Detest popcorn shrimp. It's trash pieces of shrimp, over battered and coated, the frozen so when it's heated, there is nothing crunchy about it. Even in a restaurant, fresh-fried, it's not enough shrimp and WAY too much breading for me.
