Dad and I currently have some Werther's Originals to help with dryness. I also liked Starlight mints when I was younger and Wintergreen Life Savers. I remember years ago when Life Savers sold the tiny 5 or 6 roll of fruit flavored candy. I liked the green lime best. Not much of a candy eater. Sweet and fun thread, thank you, Slo :)

Grew up in the Jolly Rancher craze. Still love them but hardly ever eat them. I don't know if you can even find the original rectangular ones.

Also enjoy life savers although my mom always would tell me how easy it was to choke. Oh moms...and now I tell my kids that.
I have a 3 pound bag of original jolly ranchers in my cabinet, Shoprite online mishap but my kids were thrilled.

I also have sugar free werthers in my cabinet and always have a ton of sugar free mints in my van, I can drive without a mint, been doing this for years. I once read that people having mints and gum in their car is a sign of alcoholism, I hoped the kids in the numerous carpools I drove didn’t mention the hoards of mints and gum to their parents (I‘d never dink and drive). I like hard candy when I want something sweet because it lasts a long time, or even if I want something salty, because I can’t eat anything with a jolly rancher in my mouth.

I enjoy the peppermint hard candy - try and limit them - reason below
I’m a HUGE fan of Jolly Ranchers - 13 tiny cavities worth 😳 that curtailed my hard candy eating right quick - I can’t use sugar substitute as they give me migraines so I limited my hard candy - but do I love those Jolly Ranchers !!!
Omg I have a dentist appointment in 30 minutes and now I’m afraid of cavities!

I don't have anything against them or anything, but I don't really gravitate toward them either. Usually if I do have one, it is some kind of mint.

I’m sure you will be fine ! I just gave bad bones which include my teeth and yes I practice good dental hygiene ! Those dang candies just stick to your teeth so not good if you have crowded little teeth !

Picked a few times a year, but not sure it's that often. I have 9 crowns, and really don't need to eat hard candy, caramels, etc. Too many teeth issues, but I do enjoy a lollipop or two for halloween

I don't buy candy as I'm diabetic but yes if I was offered a hard candy I would take it. Love butterscotch ones. Not a big mint fan.

Well, no cavities but they are watching some, I otherwise take great care of my teeth (no crowding thanks to braces and the removal of many adult molars due to a small mouth). However, he said my grinding is a problem. I asked if it’s due to my ice addiction, he said definitely, I told him I’d start smoking instead.🤣

I'm counting Altoids as hard candy. I keep them on my desk and in my car.

My favorites are the Wintergreen ones.
I do not count Altoids as hard candy. I do have those often.

I don't eat hard candy to eat it. Just not something I want to spend money on.

I do have some mints laying around. It helps from the cough that comes from the sinus drainage that comes from the Lisinopril or however you spell it.

I don't ever eat hard candy. It has been so long, I cannot remember the last time I had any. I used to like the "starlight mints", but I just got out of the habit of eating them.

I have hard candy on occasion. My dd loves Werther's so I have those in the house. I do like Altoids, but I will typically pick gum over them.

I loved Jolly Ranchers as a kid, especially the green apple and peach.

Very rarely do I eat hard candy. Not a fan.

My grandmother used to keep those hard Plantation candies in a fancy dish on a table in her living room. I don’t know if anybody ever took any. I bet they were 20 years old.
My grandmother had something similar, but with her it was green spearmint leaves gumdrop-type candy. One uncle liked them, but I rarely saw anyone else eat one.

I have the cut glass candy dish she used for them. Like this one.

Not really a fan of hard candies. And I'm a big sugar eater. Usually just use them when I have sore/dry throat.
